About NetEnt

Evolution, the group that owns NetEnt, dates the brand to 1996, and the group's timeline lists its purchase of NetEnt under 2020. The footer of netent.com names the same licensed company as the Red Tiger site, Evolution Gaming Malta Limited in St Julian's, Malta. In Evolution's description NetEnt makes slots and "a selection of classic RNG table games".

Evolution also credits NetEnt with "some of the first modern slot mechanics (including two-way paylines, respins, and expanding wilds)", and Starburst has all three in one game: ten lines that pay both ways and a wild that fills its reel and awards a re-spin. The Avalanche, which Evolution names next, follows every win in Parthenon: Quest for Immortality: winning symbols disappear and new ones fall into their place.
