Privacy policy

What we collect

We record which pages are visited and which operator links are clicked, so we can see which guides are useful. We do not store your IP address with those records.

Our statistics run on this site's own server. There is no Google Analytics or any other outside tracking service, and no cookies. A small script keeps a random identifier in your browser's local storage, so that a second visit can be told apart from a first one. With each page view it sends us the page address, the site or search engine you came from, how far down you scrolled, how long the page was in front of you, how fast it loaded, where on the page you tapped (so we can see which parts of a page people use), which adverts on the page were on screen for at least a second, and your type of device, browser and country. It never reads what you type into a form.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the script records nothing at all. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes the identifier. We delete page-view records after about 13 months.

When you follow a link to an operator, the link carries a click number and a short label for the page it came from. The operator's affiliate programme can later tell us whether that click led to a registration or a deposit. No name, email address or account detail of yours reaches us that way.

Notifications

If you choose Notify me, your browser gives us an address at its own push service (Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft) and a key to encrypt messages for it. We store that address, the page you subscribed from and the browser family. Nothing else: no name, no email, no IP address.

We use it only to tell you about new guides and changed offers. You can switch notifications off at any time in your browser's settings for this site, and we delete the address as soon as the push service tells us it is no longer valid.

Messages you send us

If you write to us through the form on the Contact page, we store your email address and your message so that we can reply. We do not add you to any list, and we delete a message on request. To stop the form being flooded, we keep a scrambled version of your connection's address for the day you wrote; it cannot be turned back into the address.

When you leave this site

When you follow a link to an operator, you leave this site and that operator's own privacy policy applies. We have no control over what they collect.
