Six reels and a ways count that changes every spin
Red Tiger's page lists the grid as 6x7 under Reels/Rows and 117649 under Play lines max, with MegaWays as the win type. The game's help puts it this way: 'Each spin awards different ways to win combinations depending on the total number of symbols which land on the reels', and the 117,649 comes only when the maximum of seven symbols lands on every one of the six reels.
Most spins sit far below that figure. Red Tiger's own screenshots print the count for the spin in a panel at the top left: MEGAWAYS 7560 on one, 17640 on another. The first is under a fifteenth of the maximum and the second under a sixth, by our arithmetic.
The game's intro screen, also from Red Tiger's own files, carries the line UNDER LICENCE FROM above a red BTG badge: Megaways is a licensed mechanic, and the screen says so. Red Tiger's figures list no Feature buy-in row, and the help describes no way to buy the bonus.
The Lucky Leprechaun and his three mushrooms
The leprechaun is the base game's random event. The help: 'The Lucky Leprechaun may trigger at any time, offering a pick of three different mushrooms representing the different features.' It names no odds for him and no amounts. The three features the help describes after him are Lucky Ways, Random Wilds and Wild Stacks; that these are the three behind the mushrooms is our reading of the help's order; the help does not name them in the leprechaun's entry.
By the help, Lucky Ways swaps symbols so that the spin wins, 'awarding win ways of up to a six of a kind'; it does not say how large the win is. Random Wilds 'adds up to five WILD symbols anywhere on the reels', and wilds 'substitute for all paying symbols'.
Wild Stacks: reels that turn wild and multiply
The third feature does the most to a single spin. In the help's words, Wild Stacks 'turns up to four reels into WILD STACKS which have a multiplier based on the size of the reel.' On a Megaways grid a reel can hold up to seven symbols, so by our reading the multiplier follows how tall that reel landed; the help does not print a table of the values.
The multipliers do not add up, they multiply: 'If more than one Wild Stack symbol makes up part of a win way, then the multiplier values stack - for example 3X * 3X = 9X'. As an illustration with example amounts, a win way worth R0.50 paid through two 3X stacks becomes R4.50, our sum.
Lucky Spins: one feature, a multiplier that only climbs
The bonus comes from scatters: 'Three or more LUCKY SPINS symbols award LUCKY SPINS. More LUCKY SPINS symbols award more Free Spins.' The help gives no count per number of symbols. Red Tiger's own screenshot shows one start with the banner 10 LUCKY SPINS above the chosen WILD STACKS.
The choice is the player's and it holds for the whole round: 'At the beginning of the bonus, the player will pick which feature will be active throughout the whole LUCKY SPINS bonus.' A retrigger 'will not change that pick and no other features but the chosen one will activate', and 'The Lucky Leprechaun will not appear during LUCKY SPINS.'
On top of the feature runs the win multiplier. 'Each win during LUCKY SPINS increases the WIN MULTIPLIER to boost your next win', and it 'does not reset for the duration of LUCKY SPINS, and can only increase with each WIN.' The help names no step size and no top value.
Extra bonus spins inside Lucky Spins 🎁
The help: three scatters in Lucky Spins 'unlock five EXTRA BONUS SPINS', and each scatter beyond three adds 'five MORE BONUS SPINS'. The totals are our arithmetic.
| Lucky Spins scatters in one spin of the bonus | Extra spins |
|---|---|
| 3 | 5 |
| 4 | 10 |
| 5 | 15 |
What Red Tiger and Evolution publish, side by side 🔍
Red Tiger's page gives a 95.72% RTP; Evolution's games site gives 94.72% for the same game. Neither lists RTP versions or says which a South African casino runs, so the figure in the game's own help at your casino is the one that applies. For the volatility, Red Tiger's badge reads INSANE and Evolution's site says High. The two agree on the year: Red Tiger dates the release 5 September 2019, Evolution 2019.
Red Tiger's top figure is '10 479 x bet' under Max payout, and its description speaks of ways 'to win over 10,000x', the line the intro screen prints as WIN OVER 10,000x!. The help names no win limit. As an example only, 10,479 times a R2 stake is R20,958, by our arithmetic.
The hit frequency is the number that sits oddly next to the badge: 34.10% on Red Tiger's page, about one spin in three ending with a win over a long run, by our arithmetic. Red Tiger does not explain its badge; by our reading the INSANE label describes how the return is spread across wins, not how often something pays. No staking pattern or betting system changes that or beats the house edge; our RTP and volatility guide explains how the numbers fit together.
Golden Leprechaun Megaways RTP and volatility 📊
Red Tiger gives Golden Leprechaun Megaways's return to player as 95.72%.
Volatility is insane: a label the studio places above extreme: most spins return little or nothing, and the return rests on rare, very large hits.
Top payout: 10479x.

Pros, cons and verdict ⚖️
- The Lucky Leprechaun can bring one of three features on any base-game spin
- Wild Stack multipliers in one win way multiply each other, 3X * 3X = 9X by the help
- In Lucky Spins you choose the feature, and the win multiplier never resets
- A 34.10% hit frequency on Red Tiger's page
- An INSANE volatility badge on Red Tiger's page
- The two official sites differ on RTP, 95.72% against 94.72%
- The help gives no free spin counts per scatter and no multiplier step
- No feature buy among Red Tiger's figures
Golden Leprechaun Megaways puts its weight on three features and lets you steer them only once: in the base game a leprechaun brings them at random, in Lucky Spins you choose one, and a multiplier that can only grow does the rest. Red Tiger's page pairs a 34.10% hit frequency with an INSANE volatility badge, so choose a rand stake built for long sessions.
