How Gold Trio: Sinbad's Riches works
The game has five reels of three symbols and 30 fixed paylines, drawn at the end of the paytable. Wins start from the leftmost reel, the same symbol has to sit on consecutive reels of one payline, and only the highest win on a line pays, while wins on different lines are added.
In our reading of the paytable pictures, the line symbols are a man in a red turban, a woman in a blue veil, a treasure chest, a ring with a green stone, crossed swords and the letters A, K, Q and J. The wild is a sailing ship with the word WILD on it and substitutes for every symbol except the coins.
What five, four and three of a kind pay
The paytable prints every win in euro at the game's default €5.00 total bet; for the last column we divided each amount by €5.
| Symbol | 5 / 4 / 3 on a line at €5.00 | Times the total bet |
|---|---|---|
| Man in a red turban | €30 / €7.50 / €2 | 6x / 1.5x / 0.4x |
| Woman in a blue veil | €22.50 / €6.25 / €1.50 | 4.5x / 1.25x / 0.3x |
| Treasure chest | €17.50 / €5 / €1.25 | 3.5x / 1x / 0.25x |
| Ring | €15 / €3.75 / €1 | 3x / 0.75x / 0.2x |
| Crossed swords | €12.50 / €3.75 / €1 | 2.5x / 0.75x / 0.2x |
| A | €10 / €2.50 / €0.75 | 2x / 0.5x / 0.15x |
| K | €7.50 / €2 / €0.75 | 1.5x / 0.4x / 0.15x |
| Q | €6.25 / €1.50 / €0.50 | 1.25x / 0.3x / 0.1x |
| J | €6.25 / €1.50 / €0.50 | 1.25x / 0.3x / 0.1x |
The three pots and the coloured coins
Above the reels stand three pots labelled CASH, MULTIPLY and COLLECT, one for each coloured coin: blue, red and green. In the main game any combination of one, two or all three can add gold to their pots and randomly start the Gold Trio Respins. The more gold a pot holds, the higher its coin's chance, and the pots involved reset once the feature is over.
When the feature starts, the coloured coins that triggered it use their abilities, and during it no other colour can land. The blue coin shows a cash prize that can increase at random with every pot jump or turn into the MINI, MINOR or MAJOR prize. The red coin multiplies the values of all coins on the reels by 2 and then becomes a cash coin. The green coin takes a value equal to the sum of all coins locked on the reels.
The Gold Trio Respins feature
The feature starts with five coins on the reels, counting the coloured coins that triggered it, and three respins. Each open position spins on its own, and only cash coins, the MINI, MINOR and MAJOR coins and the triggering coloured coins can land. Every respin that brings at least one new coin locks it and sets the counter back to three. A coloured coin that lands during the feature uses its ability at once.
The feature ends when the counter reaches zero or all 15 positions hold coins, and every prize in view is paid. A full screen of 15 coins also awards the GRAND prize. The help lists cash coin values from 0.25 to 5 times the total bet, while the paytable says a cash prize coin can be worth up to 15 times the bet.
The four named prizes
The help gives each named prize as a multiple of the total bet; the last column is our arithmetic for a R2 spin.
| Prize | In the help | Left of the reels at €5.00 | On a R2 spin |
|---|---|---|---|
| MINI | total bet x 10 | €50 | R20 |
| MINOR | total bet x 20 | €100 | R40 |
| MAJOR | total bet x 50 | €250 | R100 |
| GRAND, 15 coins | total bet x 1000 | €5,000 | R2,000 |
Buy Feature, in one build only
Of the five builds, only the one listed on Playtech ONE, Playtech's demonstration site, has a BUY FEATURE button. It starts the Gold Trio Respins with one, two or three pots of coloured coins triggered. The help says the price depends on the bet and is chosen with - and + in the menu; at the default €5.00 total bet the button showed €250.00, which by our arithmetic is 50 times the bet. Its help gives 95.93% in BUY FEATURE mode and 95.90% in the base game.
Which build of Gold Trio: Sinbad's Riches is your casino running?
Before a first deposit, open the game's help (the question mark) and scroll to Return to Player. Playtech's server gave us five builds under this title: two at 95.90%, one each at 93.92%, 93.88% and 91.90%. Apart from Buy Feature, their help texts differ in one more place: the 93.92% build drops the sentences about coins adding gold to their pots and says only that the coins can start the respins at random. In theory, by our arithmetic, R1,000 staked returns R959 at 95.90% and R919 at 91.90%.
On the win limit the help gives no number: it says there is an upper limit and sends the player to the Terms and Conditions. A betting system or an autoplay setting does not change the return of a build.
Playtech and Ash Gaming

Gold Trio: Sinbad's Riches FAQ ❓
How do you trigger the Gold Trio Respins?
There is no fixed count. When a blue, red or green coin lands in the main game, the respins can start at random, and the help says the more gold a coin's pot holds, the higher its chance. In one build a Buy Feature button starts them directly for a price set by your bet.
How much is the Grand prize?
The help gives GRAND as the total bet times 1000, awarded for 15 coins collected in the respins, which fills the five-by-three grid. At the default €5.00 bet the GRAND sign left of the reels reads €5,000; by our arithmetic it is R2,000 on a R2 spin.
What RTP does Gold Trio: Sinbad's Riches have?
It depends on the build. Playtech's help gives 95.90% for two builds, 93.92%, 93.88% and 91.90% for the others, and 95.93% for Buy Feature mode in the one build that has it. Your casino's help names the figure it runs under Return to Player.
Is it the same game as the other Gold Trio slots?
No. Playtech ONE lists Gold Trio titles such as Leprechaun's Luck, Santa Surprise and Princess Gaja, and Sinbad's Golden Voyage, as separate games. This page covers only Sinbad's Riches.
