Fortune of Olympus in South Africa: 7x7 Clusters, Multipliers and Four Special Bets
Fortune of Olympus is a Pragmatic Play slot from December 2025, which the studio's launch post places in its Greek Gods series beside Gates of Olympus. It is a different game, though: symbols pay in blocks of five or more that touch horizontally or vertically on a seven-by-seven grid, wins tumble, and multipliers from 2x to 500x can land on any spin. The game's own screens rate it medium volatility, and a round's win is capped at 10,000 times the bet.

How Fortune of Olympus pays
The rules screen describes a seven-by-seven grid, 49 positions, where all symbols pay in blocks of at least five connected horizontally or vertically. Position matters here in a way it does not in Gates of Olympus: five matching symbols scattered across the grid pay nothing, five that touch in a chain do.
The paytable climbs one symbol at a time from five to fourteen, then has a single top step, 15 to 49. Only the highest win is paid for each block, and wins of several blocks in one result are added together.
A win sets off a tumble: the winning symbols disappear, the rest fall and new ones drop in from above, until a tumble brings no new win. Only then are the base spin's wins added to the balance.
What each Fortune of Olympus symbol pays, in multiples of the bet
Pragmatic's rules screen prices every block size in dollars at the default $2.00 bet and shows the symbols as pictures only. We named the pictures, kept four of the eleven steps and turned each dollar figure into a multiple of the bet by dividing it by 2 (our arithmetic).

| Symbol | Block of 5 | Block of 10 | Block of 14 | 15 to 49 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lightning badge | 1x | 5x | 70x | 150x |
| Ring | 0.75x | 4x | 60x | 100x |
| Helmet | 0.5x | 3x | 40x | 60x |
| Chalice | 0.4x | 2x | 20x | 40x |
| Red gem | 0.3x | 1.5x | 15x | 30x |
| Purple gem | 0.25x | 1.25x | 12x | 25x |
| Green gem | 0.2x | 1x | 10x | 20x |
What the table tells you
- Small blocks pay less than the bet. Only the lightning badge returns the stake from a block of five. Five green gems pay 0.2x, 40 cents on a R2 spin (our arithmetic).
- The steep part is 11 to 14. A lightning block of ten pays 5x, one of fourteen 70x: fourteen times as much for four more symbols, by our arithmetic.
- 15 or more is one step. A block of 15 and the whole grid pay the same. The top figure, 150x for lightning badges, is R300 on a R2 spin by our arithmetic.
- The scatter only triggers. Zeus is the scatter and can land on all reels. The rules screen lists no pay for it, only the free spins it starts.
Multiplier symbols in the base game
The multiplier is a golden tile with two hands around a ball of light. It can land at random on all reels during spins and tumbles, in the base game and in free spins, with one of fifteen values from 2x to 500x.
Once a tumbling sequence has run out of wins, every multiplier on the screen at that moment is summed, and the sum is applied once to everything the sequence won. Tiles of 10x and 25x give 35x; on a sequence worth R6 at a R2 stake that is R210, by our arithmetic.
Free spins: more scatters, more spins 🎁
Four, five, six or seven scatters start the round with 15, 20, 25 or 30 free spins, and the same counts during the round add as many again. Special reels are in play, the rules say, without saying how they differ.
Every multiplier that hits in the round goes into a total multiplier, and whenever a new one hits, the total multiplies that win. The game page speaks more broadly of a total 'applied to every win throughout the round'; this page follows the rules screen.
If a round's total win reaches 10,000 times the bet, it ends at once and any free spins left are forfeited: R20,000 on a R2 bet, by our arithmetic.
The four special bets, priced on a R2 base bet
Normal play has a bet multiplier of 20x, and each special bet raises it. Costs are our arithmetic on a R2 base bet; the effects are the rules screen's, and so is the win cap it shows with each option on.
Swipe the table sideways to see every column.
| Option | Cost per spin | What the rules say it does | Win cap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal play (20x) | R2 | Standard game | 10,000x |
| Ante Bet 1 (40x) | R4 | Five times the chance to hit free spins | 5,000x |
| Ante Bet 2 (140x) | R14 | Five times the chance to hit free spins; in the features it triggers, multipliers start at 5x | 1,429x |
| Super Spin 1 (200x) | R20 | At least one multiplier every spin; no free spins | 1,000x |
| Super Spin 2 (5,000x) | R500 | At least one multiplier of 50x or more every spin; no free spins | 40x |
What the special bets and the buys change in rand
The caps fall as the cost rises, and in money they come out level: 5,000 x R4, 1,000 x R20 and 40 x R500 are each R20,000, like 10,000 x R2, and Ante Bet 2's 1,429 x R14 is R20,006, a rounded figure (our arithmetic). The paytable does not change with a special bet on: blocks pay in multiples of the base bet.
Two buys open the bonus from the base game, with four to seven scatters on the triggering spin: Free Spins at 100 times the total bet (R200 at R2) and Super Free Spins at 500 times (R1,000), where multipliers start at 5x. Pragmatic's launch post says the special bets are offered in certain markets, so a casino's version may not show them.
The rules give 96.55% for normal play, each special bet and both buys. The options change the price and the rules of a spin, not the published return, and no staking pattern beats the house edge.

Pros, cons and verdict ⚖️
- Blocks of five touching symbols pay on a 49-position grid
- Multipliers of 2x to 500x land in the base game too
- 96.55% in every mode, special bets and buys included
- Blocks of five pay under the bet for six of seven symbols
- Both Super Spins switch the free spins off
- At the cap the round ends and unplayed free spins are lost
A medium-volatility cluster slot that keeps the Olympus multipliers but pays for chains of touching symbols. Small blocks pay little; what counts is how far a tumble sequence runs and which multipliers land in it. The special bets reshape a spin without changing the 96.55%, and on a R2 base bet no round pays more than about R20,000, by our arithmetic.
Fortune of Olympus FAQ ❓
Is Fortune of Olympus the same game as Gates of Olympus?
No. Pragmatic puts both in its Greek Gods series, but this grid is seven by seven and pays for blocks of five or more connected horizontally or vertically. Gates of Olympus pays for 8 to 30 matching symbols anywhere on six reels.
What is the maximum win in Fortune of Olympus?
The rules limit a round to 10,000 times the bet, R20,000 on a R2 spin by our arithmetic, and reaching it ends the round. With a special bet on, the screen shows a lower multiple of a higher bet: about the same money, by our arithmetic (R20,006 with Ante Bet 2).
Is Fortune of Olympus high or medium volatility?
Medium. The badge on the intro screen and the top of the fifth rules page both say MEDIUM VOLATILITY, and the same page describes such games as paying out steadily, with a range of pays from low to very high.
How many free spins can you get?
Four to seven scatters give 15, 20, 25 or 30 free spins, and the same counts in the round add as many again; the rules name no limit on retriggers. Super Spin 1 and 2 cannot trigger the round.
