Dice Duel in South Africa: Red Die Against Blue in BetGames' Live Studio
Dice Duel pits a red die against a blue one; in BetGames' own words, the "dice with higher number wins". BetGames' company timeline lists the game under 2017. A presenter shakes both dice in a dice box and rolls them onto a lit table, after a betting round of about 30 seconds. Besides the duel you can back the Draw, numbers, odd or even and totals. BetGames gives the RTP as 95%; by our arithmetic the bets in its demo return 93.75% to 95%.

Two dice, one roll: how a Dice Duel draw runs
BetGames rolls Dice Duel live in its studio with a red and a blue die, each numbered 1 to 6. The presenter shakes them in a dice box and rolls them onto a sloping, lit table with a marked place for the result.
A roll counts when both dice stand on a side inside that place and clearly form a combination: the numbers on top, each read with its colour, 36 combinations in all. BetGames' How to play video says the "dice with higher number wins", and its Betslip Mode picture lists three results under "Winning dice": red, draw and blue. We read the Draw as a roll where neither die is higher.
The rules allow one betting round per draw and keep the game running around the clock, apart from maintenance breaks.
28 bets in four tabs: odds, chances and returns 📊
BetGames' integration wiki lists 28 Dice Duel bets; its demo shows them in four tabs: Main, Numbers, Odd / Even and Totals. Odds are the demo's, not a casino's; combinations and returns are our arithmetic, with all 36 taken as equally likely.
| Bet | Demo odds | Winning combinations | Return, our sum |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red dice wins or Blue dice wins | 2.25 | 15 | 93.75% |
| Draw | 5.70 | 6 | 95.00% |
| Chosen number on the red or the blue die | 5.70 | 6 | 95.00% |
| Chosen red and blue pair | 34.00 | 1 | 94.44% |
| Red, blue or total odd, or even | 1.90 | 18 | 95.00% |
| Red or blue die under or over 3.5 | 1.90 | 18 | 95.00% |
| Total under 4.5 or over 9.5 | 5.70 | 6 | 95.00% |
| Total over 4.5 or under 9.5 | 1.14 | 30 | 95.00% |
| Total under 5.5 or over 8.5 | 3.40 | 10 | 94.44% |
| Total over 5.5 or under 8.5 | 1.30 | 26 | 93.89% |
| Total under 6.5 or over 7.5 | 2.25 | 15 | 93.75% |
| Total over 6.5 or under 7.5 | 1.62 | 21 | 94.50% |
Why the duel bets return less, by our sums
BetGames' rules give one RTP, 95%. By our arithmetic at the demo's odds, 17 of the 28 bets return exactly that: the Draw, a number on either die, all six odd or even bets, the four 3.5 lines and the totals against 4.5 and 9.5. The other 11 return less. The lowest, 93.75%, include the bets the game is named for: Red dice wins pays 2.25 and covers 15 of the 36 combinations, so over many rolls the house keeps 6.25% of stakes, against 5% on the Draw.
Totals follow the shape of two dice: 7 is the sum most combinations make, 6 of the 36. By our sums the outer lines, 4.5 and 9.5, return 95% on both sides; from 5.5 to 8.5 each side returns between 93.75% and 94.5%.
In rand, as an example of our arithmetic: 100 draws at R10 on Red dice wins cost about R62.50 on average, against R50 at 95%. R10 on each colour does not lift the return: the R20 a roll brings back R22.50 when the dice differ and nothing on a Draw, 93.75% again. No staking pattern or wait for a colour that seems due beats the house edge; every roll starts from the same 36 combinations.
When the roll is repeated or the draw cancelled
BetGames' rules spell out what happens when a physical roll goes wrong.
- Roll again. The roll is repeated if a die stops on its edge or not fully on a side, the combination cannot be read, a die falls off the table or covers the line of the marked zone, even partly, the dice were rolled before betting closed, or another object falls onto the table.
- Cancelled draw. If the repeated roll goes wrong too, with a die off the table, on its edge, not fully on a side, covering the line of the marked zone or unreadable, the draw can be cancelled, as it can for an internet or studio fault.
- Sound, calls and your connection. Lost sound or a wrong announcement is settled by the video broadcast. If a dropped connection or a power cut at your end keeps you from watching, the draw still counts when the archive holds its broadcast.
- Claims. Disputes over a result or a technical fault are addressed to the operator, at the latest 30 days after the draw, under rule 8.2.
Placing bets and pairing them with other draws
Dice Duel's How to play has the two betting modes described on our Wheel of Fortune page: Casino Chips Mode by default, and Betslip Mode, which has more bet types according to BetGames, once the chips toggle is switched off in Settings. BetGames' chips picture for this game shows three positions: red and blue at 2.25, grey at 5.70, the Draw's odds. Stake limits are the operator's.
The rules build a combination from two different bets and require both to win. BetGames' Dice Duel pictures offer Lucky 7, Lucky 5, Lucky 6 and Wheel of Fortune for the second bet, and pair a red-die number at 5.70 with a Lucky 6 bet at 5.00 for total odds of 28.50. By our arithmetic at the demo's odds, a duel bet (93.75%) paired with a 95% bet returns about 89%.

BetGames gives Dice Duel's return to player as 95%.
BetGames rates the volatility as low, but in Dice Duel the bet you pick moves it: a bet at short odds wins often and pays little, one at long odds rarely wins and pays a lot.

Dice Duel FAQ ❓
What does Draw mean in Dice Duel?
BetGames lists the Draw beside Red dice wins and Blue dice wins and says the "dice with higher number wins", so we read it as a roll where neither die is higher. It pays 5.70 in BetGames' demo; by our count that is 6 of the 36 combinations, a return of 95% with fair dice.
Which Dice Duel bet returns the most?
No bet returns more than 95% at the demo's odds, by our arithmetic, and 17 of the 28 return exactly that. The lowest, at 93.75%, are Red dice wins, Blue dice wins and the totals under 6.5 and over 7.5, all at 2.25.
What is the biggest payout on a single bet?
34 times the stake in BetGames' demo, for the exact pair, such as red 6 with blue 1: R10 returns R340 (our sum), and the pair is 1 of the 36 combinations. BetGames' game page describes 13 outcomes and odds from 1.01 to 500; the demo's 28 bets run from 1.14 to 34.
How long is the betting round?
About 30 seconds, by BetGames' rules, and the next round opens the moment a draw ends, 24/7. Dice rolled while betting was still open must be rolled again.
Is Dice Duel a random number generator game?
No. In BetGames' words it is a real-time, live-streamed game: a presenter rolls two physical dice on camera, and if the sound is lost or the call is wrong, the video decides. Each draw has a number on the Results page.
