Classic Wheel in South Africa: BetGames' Non-Live Wheel from Recorded Draws
Classic Wheel is BetGames' non-live wheel game, which its game page calls the RNG version of the wheel game. Each result comes from a pre-recorded Wheel of Fortune video session, selected at random, and the winning sector is where the pointer stops in that video. You bet on where it stops among 19 sectors, eighteen numbers in black, grey and red plus a cup with a star, at odds from 2 to 18, with a 95% RTP in BetGames' rules.

How a Classic Wheel draw works
Classic Wheel's draws are not live. Its rules describe a set of pre-recorded sessions taken from the vast catalogue of broadcasted Wheel of Fortune games, randomly selected to determine the result of each draw (rules 1.6 and 6.2), so the presenter and the spin you watch are part of the recording.
A draw has a single betting round, and the video starts when it ends. In the recording, the presenter introduces the wheel, spins it counter-clockwise, then clockwise with a light stroke of the hand; the turn starts once the wheel spins clockwise and the pointer, at the top middle of the wheel, leaves the sector it stood on. The winning sector is the one where the pointer's lower end, nearer the centre, stops.
Rule 6.1 runs draws 24/7 every two minutes, with maintenance breaks on demand; the How to play's short description and its video also give a draw every 2 minutes: 30 an hour, by our count. The betting round lasts about one minute in that short description and approximately two minutes in rule 3.1.1, and under rule 6.1.1 the organiser may alter when broadcasts run and how long they last, so go by the countdown on screen.

BetGames' 95% and our sums on equal sectors
BetGames gives one return for the whole game, "RTP: 95%" in the rules and "~95%" on its game page. Neither gives the chance of a single sector coming up: the rules describe the 19 sectors as of equal size and the recordings as randomly selected.
Suppose each sector comes up once in 19 draws on average. Then every bet returns the same share, since odds times sectors covered make 18 for each: 18 on one sector, 6 on three, 3 on six, 2 on nine. A bet returns R18 of every R19 staked, 94.74%, a shade under the rules' 95% (our arithmetic, on that assumption). For every bet but the cup itself, the missing rand is the cup's: rule 2.5.19 makes all other wagers lose when the pointer stops there.
What differs from bet to bet is how often it collects. On the same assumption, that is 9 draws in 19 for odd, even, under 9.5 or over 9.5, 6 for a colour or a range, 3 for a colour-and-parity pair and 1 for a number or the cup. As an example, R20 a draw over the 30 draws of an hour is R600 staked, and at the rules' 95% the house keeps about R30 of it, on average and by our arithmetic. Each draw's recording is randomly selected (rule 6.2), and no system or staking pattern beats the house edge.
Placing bets, stakes, cancelled draws and claims
- Chips or betslip. Casino Chips Mode is the default: during betting time, check the chip value selected and tap the betting positions you want; chips can go on several positions at the same time. Betslip Mode, with more bet types in BetGames' words, comes on when that toggle is turned off in Settings: choose a category and an outcome, type the amount, press Place bet.
- Stakes. Rule 4.1 leaves the minimum and maximum bet to the gambling company, that is, your operator.
- Cancelled draws. Rule 5.1.1 allows a draw to be cancelled for technical failures and names a failed internet connection.
- Claims. Rule 8.2 gives you thirty days from the date of the draw to raise a claim about its result, or a technical issue, with your operator; the law of the operator's jurisdiction can require a longer period.
Classic Wheel or the live Wheel of Fortune?
BetGames lists them as two games, and its own words mark the difference. Its page for Classic Wheel says "an RNG-based game" and "Game type RNG"; the game's How to play says "NON-LIVE" and that "the players may choose the same outcomes as with the live mode while the draws and the dealers are selected from a pre-recorded catalogue".

What does the cup with a star do?
You can back the cup directly, at odds of 18.00 in BetGames' demo, and rule 2.5.19 makes every other wager lose when the pointer stops on it. If all 19 sectors are equally likely, that is why other bets return R18 of every R19 staked, and the cup bet returns the same, by our arithmetic; BetGames' rules give 95%.
How much can one bet pay?
BetGames' game page gives "a highest pay out set at 18", within odds ranging from 2 to 18; in its demo, 18.00 are the odds on a single number or on the cup. As an example, R20 there comes back as R360 (our sum: stake times odds, as rule 1.5 defines winnings).
Can I check the result of a draw I bet on?
Yes. Each draw has a unique number, and rule 5.2.1 puts every result and the video archive on the Results page; BetGames' illustration shows a Watch link beside a result. If a technical fault kept you from the video, the draw still counts if the video is in the archive (rule 5.2).
