Football Grid in South Africa: Red Against Blue on BetGames' Six-Target Goal
Football Grid is BetGames' non-live football game. Each round plays a pre-recorded video picked at random: a goal with six targets gets a fresh set of point values from 1 to 6, the red player shoots, then the blue one, and the higher score wins, with equal scores a draw. BetGames runs a new game every minute and gives the RTP as 95%. You can back the winner, a player's score, the correct score, odd or even and totals.

How a Football Grid game runs
Football Grid is not played live. BetGames' rules call it a non-live game that uses a set of pre-recorded play sessions, and one of those video sessions is randomly selected to decide each draw (rules 1.6 and 6.2).
The goal in the video holds six targets of the same size. At the start of each game the grid appears on screen: six score values from one to six points, chosen at random and never repeated, one value per target (rules 1.3 and 2.1). The red player kicks first and scores, then the blue player kicks and scores, and each receives the points that stand on the grid at the target his ball went into (rules 2.2 and 2.3). The rules describe every kick as a goal, so a round always ends with two scores between 1 and 6.
The result is revealed once both have scored. The higher total wins; when the two scores are equal, the game ends in a draw. Because no value appears twice on a grid, our reading is that a draw means both balls went into the same target; the rules do not say so in those words.
One betting round, a new game every minute
Each game has a single betting round of about 30 seconds, and the round for the next game opens as soon as the current one finishes (rule 3.1.1). BetGames' game page puts the pace at a new game every minute, 24/7, or up to 1,440 games a day; maintenance breaks come on demand (rule 6.1). The same page offers a switch between video and graphical mode for slower connections and smaller devices.
Minimum and maximum stakes are set by the casino, not by BetGames (rule 4.1). At R10 a game, one game a minute comes to R600 staked in an hour, by our arithmetic.

Bets and tabs as BetGames' official demo names them, 28 bets by our count of the demo's list; the odds are the demo's, not a casino's. The score pairs and returns are our arithmetic, and they take the 36 possible pairs of red and blue scores as equally likely, which BetGames does not state.

Reading the odds in rand
BetGames' rules give a single figure, an RTP of 95%. On our assumption of equally likely score pairs, 17 of the 28 demo bets return exactly 95%. The other 11 return less, and the lowest, 93.75%, include the two bets that decide the duel: Red wins and Blue wins, each at 2.25 and each covering 15 of the 36 pairs. Over 100 games at R10 on Red wins, that is about R62.50 lost on average, against R50 at 95% (our sums).
The demo prices Football Grid's 28 bets at exactly the odds it shows for Dice Duel, BetGames' red-against-blue dice game, with a player's score where a die would be: two demo price lists that match, not a claim by BetGames that the games share their chances.
The largest single return in the demo is the Correct score at 34.00: R10 on red 4, blue 2 brings back R340 if those are the two scores (our sum), one pair in 36. Each game starts with a new random grid (rule 2.1), so the last game says nothing about the next one. No staking pattern or wait for a colour that seems due beats the house edge.
Cancelled draws, missed videos and claims
The special cases Football Grid's rules name.
- Technical failures. A draw can be cancelled for internet connection trouble, a technical fault in the studio or a presenter's mistake (rule 5.1.1). The rules do not say what happens to bets on a cancelled draw.
- If the video does not reach you. When you cannot watch because of a problem at your end, such as no internet or no electricity, the draw still counts if its video is in the archive (rule 5.2).
- Results and the archive. BetGames' how-to-play gives each draw a unique number. The Results page lists the results and keeps the videos (rule 5.2.1), and the Bet history page shows the bets you placed.
- Claims. Rule 7.2 sends a player's claims about results or other technical issues to the Operator, meaning the casino, within 30 days of the draw in question.
Football Grid RTP and volatility
BetGames gives Football Grid's return to player as 95%.
BetGames rates the volatility as low, but in Football Grid the bet you pick moves it: a bet at short odds wins often and pays little, one at long odds rarely wins and pays a lot.

Football Grid FAQ ❓
Is Football Grid played live?
No. BetGames' rules call it a non-live game: each draw is decided by a pre-recorded video session selected at random from a catalogue. Its game page speaks of pre-recorded gameplay and offers a graphical mode as well as the video.
How is the score decided?
At the start of the video each of the goal's six targets gets a point value from 1 to 6, chosen at random and never repeated. The red player scores, then the blue one, and each takes the value of the target he hit.
When is a Football Grid game a draw?
When both players end with the same number of points. Since no value appears twice on a grid, we read that as both balls in the same target. The draw pays 5.70 in BetGames' demo, 95% by our sums if all 36 score pairs are equally likely.
What is the highest odds bet?
The Correct score, which names both players' points, at 34.00 in BetGames' demo: R10 returns R340 by our sum. It covers one of the 36 possible pairs of scores. Casinos may show different odds from the demo's.
How often does a new game start?
BetGames' game page says a new game every minute, 24/7, up to 1,440 a day. The rules give each game one betting round of about 30 seconds, with the next round opening as soon as a game ends.
