In Gates of Olympus, orbs worth one of 15 values from 2x to 500x can land in any spin or tumble, in the base game and in free spins. When the tumble sequence ends, the orbs on the screen are added together and multiply its total win: by our arithmetic, 4x and 6x make 10x, not 24x, so a sequence that won R5 pays R50.
Sweet Bonanza's bombs, 13 values from 2x to 100x, exist only in the free spins round, where they are summed the same way when a sequence ends. Its base game has no multiplier: every base-game win is a paytable win, while a Gates of Olympus base spin can pay a multiple of the table.
Two different free spins rounds 🎁
Four or more scatters start both rounds, and three or more during a round add five spins. Gates of Olympus opens with 15 spins, Sweet Bonanza with 10.
In Gates of Olympus, a multiplier landing in a winning spin joins a total that lasts the round, and whenever a new one lands in a winning spin, the total multiplies that win: by our arithmetic, 2x and 8x in two winning spins make 10x, and a 5x in a later winning spin turns its R3 into R45 at 15x. Sweet Bonanza's rules describe no such total; each bomb stays only until its sequence ends. A Gates of Olympus round that reaches 5,000 times the bet ends there, forfeiting any features still to come.
The ante and the buy cost the same in both
The ante lifts the bet multiplier from 20x to 25x, so by our arithmetic a R2 spin costs R2.50; by both rules screens it doubles the chance of free spins arriving naturally and disables the buy, and a R2.50 ante spin pays what a R2 spin pays. The buy, where the casino offers it, opens the free spins round for 100 times the bet (R200 at R2, our arithmetic), which buys 15 spins in Gates of Olympus and 10 in Sweet Bonanza.
Gates of Olympus's rules give 96.50% for ordinary spins, the ante and the buy alike, and with the ante on its cap reads 4,000x: 4,000 x R2.50 is R10,000, the same as 5,000 x R2 (our arithmetic). Sweet Bonanza's screen gives a maximum RTP of 96.6% and a minimum of 96.49% without saying what moves it between them. No option or staking pattern beats the house edge.
