RTP here is the figure the studio publishes. Some studios let the casino choose one of several settings, and in some games the bet you pick or the moment you cash out moves the return; each game guide says which applies.
How a spin differs
In all three, a flapper at the top of the wheel shows the winning segment, and a bonus segment opens a game the whole table can watch but only bets on that segment play.
Crazy Time's 54 segments are 45 numbers (1, 2, 5 and 10) and nine bonus segments for four games, a bonus one spin in six by Evolution's figure. Its eight bet spots are the four numbers and the four bonus games.
Monopoly Live, a special edition of Evolution's Dream Catcher wheel, also has 54: 48 numbers, three 2 ROLLS and one 4 ROLLS segment for its one board game, and two CHANCE segments you cannot back. That gives six spots, and a board game about one spin in 13.5 by our arithmetic.
Funky Time has 64: 24 letters spelling PLAY, FUNK and TIME, 1s repeated round the wheel, and bonus segments. Its rules give no count for the 1s or the bonuses, so they do not say how often a bonus comes. The 1, twelve letters and four bonuses make 17 spots.
Where the extra multipliers come from
- Crazy Time: the Top Slot. Each round, a two-reel slot above the wheel picks one bet spot and one multiplier. If they line up and the wheel stops on that spot, the number's payout or the bonus result is multiplied. Evolution's South African rules call it the Top Position.
- Monopoly Live: CHANCE. The card brings a cash prize or a 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 8x or 10x multiplier, which keeps your bets in place for another spin and multiplies their win. A second card multiplies the first, and a board game that follows gets its multipliers raised.
- Funky Time: on the wheel. Every spin puts multipliers on random segments. On the winning 1 or letter, one raises the odds, which Evolution's payout table runs up to 50:1 on the 1 and 1,250:1 on a letter; on a bonus segment, it multiplies the values in that game.
What the bonus games ask of you 🎁
Evolution's RTP tables price bet spots, not picks inside bonus games; miss the decision time and the game picks at random.
- Crazy Time: two picks in four games. Cash Hunt has you aim at one of 108 covered multipliers, and the Crazy Time round has you choose one of three flappers; Pachinko and Coin Flip need no choice. Evolution puts Pachinko's maximum at 10,000x and the Crazy Time round's at 20,000x.
- Monopoly Live: no picks. Mr. Monopoly walks a 3D board by the total of two dice, rolled in the studio at least twice for 2 ROLLS or four times for 4 ROLLS, and again after a double unless it frees him from Jail. Passing GO doubles later prizes; Income Tax and Super Tax take 10% and 20% of the winnings.
- Funky Time: two picks, three mechanics. In Bar you pick one of three glasses; each is then filled with 2x to 20x, and one gets a 2x to 5x garnish that multiplies it. In Stayin' Alive you pick a colour that climbs a ladder from 5x to 1,000x as balls are drawn, until four black balls end it. Disco and VIP Disco share one mechanic, with no pick. Stayin' Alive and both Discos are capped at 10,000x.
What the bet you pick costs
Funky Time's bets sit within 0.61 of a point, from 95.99% on the 1 to 95.38% on VIP Disco. Crazy Time's span 1.75 points, and all four bonus bets, 94.33% to 95.70%, return less than its weakest number, the 10 at 95.73%. Monopoly Live's span 4.93 points: its 2, at 96.23%, is the best bet on this page, its 5, at 91.30%, the worst (our subtraction).
Per R1,000 staked, that is about R38 kept in theory on Monopoly Live's 2 but R87 on its 5, R39 on Crazy Time's 1 but R57 on Pachinko, and R40 on Funky Time's 1: long-run averages, by our arithmetic.
Covering every bonus costs a chip on each, every spin: four in Crazy Time and Funky Time, two in Monopoly Live. With equal chips, the covered bonuses return on average 94.93% in Crazy Time, 95.59% in Funky Time and 93.79% in Monopoly Live (our averages).
Funky Time's rules add that their figures leave out the table's payout cap: for players betting the maximum, five of the six bets return less, from 94.81% on VIP Disco to 95.40% on Bar.
Which one suits you
Crazy Time, for four different bonus games, two of them with a pick of your own, and a bonus one spin in six. Where price matters, back the numbers.
Monopoly Live, for six bets chosen by price, the 2 and the 10 first, and a board game with nothing to decide.
Funky Time, for 17 spots, multipliers on random segments every spin and prices that barely change with the spot.
Whichever you pick, set your spots and stake per spin first, and mind your data: live video uses far more than a slot. Our responsible gambling page lists free help.
Crazy Time vs Monopoly Live vs Funky Time FAQ ❓
Which of the three pays back the most?
The bet matters more than the game. By Evolution's figures, the best single bet here is Monopoly Live's 2 at 96.23%; the best in Crazy Time is its 1 at 96.08%, and in Funky Time its 1 at 95.99%. The worst is Monopoly Live's 5 at 91.30%. All are under 100%, so over time every bet returns less than it takes.
Can I play a bonus game without a bet on it?
No, in none of the three. The whole table sees the bonus game, but it pays only bets placed on the segment the wheel stopped at: a bet on 2 ROLLS stays out of a 4 ROLLS game, and VIP Disco pays nothing to a bet on Disco.
Which has the most bonus games?
Crazy Time and Funky Time have four each; Monopoly Live has one board game in two lengths, 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS. Funky Time's Disco and VIP Disco run on the same mechanic, so it has three kinds of bonus game against Crazy Time's four.
What is the biggest win possible?
None of the three has one figure for the whole game. Each table caps what a round pays, and inside the bonus games Evolution names ceilings: 20,000x in the Crazy Time round, 10,000x in Pachinko, Stayin' Alive, Disco and VIP Disco. The 25,000x that Evolution's page reports from a Cash Hunt round on 11 December 2022 is a record, not a limit.
Can I try them before depositing?
Not as a demo from Evolution: they are live shows, and its page for each offers a video instead. At a casino, a table's How To Play menu gives the rules and every bet's RTP, and its Bet Limits panel the stakes: read both before the first spin.
