How a round of Sweet Bonanza CandyLand works
The game is streamed 24/7 from a purpose-built studio, where a super-sized, vertically mounted wheel of 54 segments stands among three bonus game areas.
While the betting timer runs, you put chips on any of six spots: the numbers 1, 2 and 5, or the bonus games Bubble Surprise, Candy Drop and Sweet Spins. Only bets placed within that time count.
The segment under the pointer decides the round, unless it is a Sugar Bomb (below): bets on its symbol win, the rest lose. The numbers pay 1:1, 2:1 and 5:1 with the stake returned on top, so a winning R10 on the 5 brings back R60, by our sum.

Sugar Bombs and the Sugar Bomb Booster
A Sugar Bomb is not a bet. When the wheel stops on one, a multiplier from 2x to 10x is drawn, bets stay in place, no new ones are taken, and the host spins again; the next result pays, multiplied, bonus games included. A second Sugar Bomb multiplies again, so 10x then 10x makes 100x by our arithmetic.
The Sugar Bomb Booster, a switch in the interface, doubles that multiplier for the players who turned it on and costs an extra 25% of the total bet on the bet spots. By our sums, R10 on the 5 with the Booster costs R12.50, and a 4x Sugar Bomb followed by a 5 pays that bet 20 to 1 without the Booster, 40 to 1 with it, plus the stake.
The fee is charged on every round the Booster is on, while on equal segments a Sugar Bomb opens about one round in 18: over 18 rounds at R10 that is R45 for about one doubled multiplier, by our arithmetic.
The three bonus games: Sweet Spins, Candy Drop and Bubble Surprise 🎁
A bonus is played by those with a bet on its spot when the wheel stops there, and Sweet Spins and Candy Drop pay from that bet.
- Sweet Spins. One segment. Pragmatic's page gives 10 free spins in a live version of its Sweet Bonanza slot, with wins from eight symbols of a kind; the help puts them on a 6x5 grid where symbols pay by how many of one kind land anywhere, and winners tumble away until no new win forms. Sugar bomb symbols of 2x to 100x multiply a spin's total win by their sum. Three lollipop scatters add five spins; four, five or six pay 3x, 5x or 100x.
- Candy Drop. Two segments. You pick one of three candies in time, or one is picked for you. Each starts at 1x and drops in turn through the obstacles of a virtual plinko wall, collecting additions such as +5 and multipliers such as 4x from four rows; what yours collects is your multiplier. If it passes every purple position of the jackpot path (Pragmatic's page calls them four Jackpot Boxes), the jackpot pays 999:1 (1,000x) on the Candy Drop bet, plus what it collected.
- Bubble Surprise. Three segments. A reel of five possible outcomes climbs ever faster, and the one stopping under the golden pointer wins: a blue candy pays 5x, a purple one 10x, a red one 25x, and the other two start Candy Drop or Sweet Spins.
20,000x, €500,000 and the 1,000x jackpot
Pragmatic's page speaks of a €500,000 max win. The help's rule: the maximum payout is 19,999:1 (20,000x) or the currency equivalent of €500,000, whichever comes first, and the game carries on as usual after it. By our arithmetic, 20,000x of a €25 stake is €500,000, so above €25 the money limit comes first.
The page's "1,000x max win" in Candy Drop is the jackpot on a Candy Drop bet, not a limit: the collected multiplier is paid on top, and a Sugar Bomb before the bonus multiplies the lot, within the payout cap.
No Spin, results and statistics
- Two full turns, or No Spin. The wheel must turn at least twice from where it last rested. Fewer turns, a pointer on a pin, interference or a mechanical fault make a No Spin: the round is cancelled and bets are refunded.
- Results and stats. Last Winning Symbols lists recent results, newest on the left, with a Sugar Bomb's icon replaced by its multiplier. A Statistics button opens detailed game statistics.
- What none of it tells you. Where the next spin stops: the wheel still has 23 segments of 1 and one of Sweet Spins. No staking pattern, doubling up or waiting for a bonus that seems due beats the house edge.
From a slot theme to a studio wheel
Pragmatic announced the launch in a news post of 24 November 2021: a Live Casino makeover of its Sweet Bonanza slot, broadcast from a brand-new, specially built studio. That post described four numbers, 1, 2, 5 and 10, and two bonus games; Pragmatic's post on the Italian launch, in February 2022, already lists 1, 2 and 5 with Bubble Surprise as a third bonus, the layout today's rules describe.
