Super 7s in South Africa: Five Lines, Fruit and a Star That Pays Anywhere

Pragmatic Play RTP 96.50% 4.8 /5

4.8/5. Computed from what we could verify about Super 7s, not from our own play.

Super 7s is a classic fruit slot from Pragmatic Play, and the studio's own page describes it in one line: 'a classic video slot with a 3 rows and 5 reels'. Five lines are always in play, the symbols are fruit, bells and a red 7, and a gold star marked Scatter pays wherever it lands. There is no wild, no free spins round and no bonus game. Its rules screen rates it low volatility and gives a theoretical RTP of 96.5%.

One spin of about five seconds at the demo's $2.00 bet: the reels stop left to right and three oranges line up along the top row of the first three reels. The bar under the reels reads LINE 2 PAYS $8.00, four times the bet, and the WIN counter is still counting up when the clip ends. The demo counts in dollars; a South African casino shows rand.

How Super 7s works

The grid is five reels by three rows, and the game bets on five paylines every spin. Pragmatic's official demo shows 'Betting on 5 lines' at the top of the bet menu, with fields for coins per line, coin value and the total bet, and nothing that switches lines off. Lines 1 to 3 are the middle, top and bottom rows; line 4 dips from the top corners to the bottom of the middle reel, and line 5 is that shape turned over.

A line pays for three or more matching symbols from the leftmost reel onwards, on adjacent reels. Only the highest win on a line is paid, and wins on separate lines are added together. Line wins are worked out on the bet per line, a fifth of the total.

The symbols are a red 7, a gold bell, cherries, grapes, an orange, a pear and a plum. The eighth is a gold star with the word Scatter across it. The banner over the reels spells out its rule, 'Pays on any position': three, four or five stars anywhere on the screen pay, whether or not any line has won.

The demo's five rules pages describe nothing beyond that: no wild to fill a gap in a line, no free spins, no multiplier, no gamble and no bonus to buy, and nothing carries over from one spin to the next.

Super 7s paytable as multiples of the total bet

The rules screen prints each prize in cash at the current stake. At the demo's default total bet of $2.00, five 7s read $2,000.00, so dividing every amount by 2 gives the multiples below (our arithmetic). At R2 a spin, 40x is R80 and 1,000x is R2,000.

Swipe the table sideways to see every column.

SymbolTwoThreeFourFive
Red 7-20x200x1,000x
Bell-10x40x200x
Cherries-10x40x200x
Grapes-4x10x40x
Orange-4x10x40x
Pear-4x8x40x
Plum1x4x8x40x
Scatter star, anywhere on the screen-10x50x250x

Four things the Super 7s paytable tells you

  • Cherries are a top symbol here. On many fruit machines cherries are the small change. In Super 7s they sit level with the bell: 10x, 40x and 200x the total bet for three, four and five on a line, second only to the 7 among line symbols.
  • The plum is the only pair that pays. Two plums from the left of a line pay 1x the total bet. If nothing else lands, the balance ends exactly where it started.
  • The star does not need a line. Three stars anywhere pay 10x the total bet, as much as three bells on a line, and five pay 250x. They are the game's one way to win without lining anything up.
  • The 1,000x figure belongs to one line. The banner over the reels reads '5x 7 pays up to 1000x bet', and the paytable agrees: five 7s on one line, counted from the left. The rules screens name no win limit for a spin, and no feature can raise a line above its printed amount.

The same multiples as Joker's Jewels, with fruit instead of jesters

Put the Super 7s rules screen next to the one in Pragmatic's demo of Joker's Jewels and, by our comparison, the multiples match row for row: the 7 pays like the joker, the bell and cherries like the lute and juggling pins, four fruits like the shoes and jewels, and the star like the crown marked Bonus. Both bet on the same five line shapes, and both rules screens give 96.5% and a low volatility rating.

That does not make them one game. Pragmatic publishes paytables, not reel strips, so nothing official says the two land their symbols equally often, and this page does not claim they return the same. Hot to Burn, another Pragmatic five-line fruit game on this site, is closer in look but further in numbers: its stars pay 2x to 50x, and its RTP is 96.71%.

Low volatility in a game with nothing to trigger 📊

Pragmatic's rules screen marks Super 7s 'Low volatility' and gives the studio's definition next to it: such games 'pay out more often in smaller amounts, while still having the chance to win big'. It publishes no hit rate or odds.

The amounts themselves are on the table. Three of any of the four lowest fruits pay 4x the total bet and five pay no more than 40x, while the larger prizes all rest on a single spin landing them: four or five 7s on a line, five bells or cherries, or four or five stars. There is no free spins round and no meter that fills towards one.

The stake changes the rand on screen and nothing else; every prize is a fixed multiple of it. A smaller bet buys more spins from the same budget, not better odds, and no staking pattern beats the house edge built into the game. With quick spin and turbo spin on offer, a time limit is worth setting alongside the rand limit.

Super 7s RTP and volatility

Pragmatic Play gives Super 7s's return to player as 96.50%.

Pros, cons and verdict ⚖️

Pros
  • Five fixed lines and eight symbols: the whole game fits on one rules page
  • A star scatter that pays 10x to 250x the total bet without a line
  • Cherries and bells pay up to 200x, so the 7 is not the only prize worth seeing
  • Rated low volatility on the game's own rules screen
Cons
  • No wild, free spins or bonus round
  • Two plums count as a win while only handing the stake back
  • The 1,000x banner figure needs five 7s on one line in a single spin
  • Its multiples repeat Joker's Jewels, so it offers little new to anyone who knows that game

Super 7s is a fruit machine in plain form: five lines that never change, a paytable led by the 7, cherries that pay as well as the bell, and a star that pays wherever it stops. Nothing in it builds from one spin to the next. Pick it for a game you can read in a minute; skip it if you want a bonus round to wait for.

Super 7s FAQ ❓

What does five 7s pay in Super 7s?

1,000x the total bet, for five 7s on one line from the leftmost reel. The demo shows $2,000.00 at a $2.00 stake, and the banner over the reels says '5x 7 pays up to 1000x bet'. At R1 a spin that line is worth R1,000.

Does Super 7s have a wild or free spins?

No. The five rules pages in Pragmatic's demo describe no wild, no free spins, no multiplier and no bonus game. The only symbol with its own rule is the Scatter star, which pays on any position.

How does the Scatter star pay?

Three, four or five stars anywhere on the screen pay 10x, 50x or 250x the total bet, by our division of the demo's amounts at a $2.00 stake. They pay even on a spin where no line wins, and they trigger nothing else.

Can I play fewer than five lines?

No. The bet menu reads 'Betting on 5 lines' and has no line setting. Coins per line and coin value change the total bet, and with it every prize, but every spin always covers all five lines.

What is the RTP of Super 7s?

Pragmatic's game page gives 96.50% and the rules screen of its official demo says 'The theoretical RTP of this game is 96.5 %'. The rules screen inside your casino's game shows the figure that copy runs at.
