CricketX in South Africa: SmartSoft's Cricket Crash Game, Two Bets and 25,000x

4.8/5. Computed from what we could verify about CricketX, not from our own play.

CricketX, written Cricket X in the title of SmartSoft Gaming's own page, is the JetX studio's cricket-themed crash game. You place one or two bets, then a red cricket ball climbs through a blue sky while a multiplier rises from 1.00x. Collect before the ball explodes and the stake is multiplied; wait too long and it is lost. The game's help lists an RTP of 94.0-98.9% and collects any bet automatically at 25,000x.

SmartSoft's phone screenshot of a round: a red cricket ball in a blue sky with 3.09x beneath it, a strip of 13 past results on the right by our count, three of them in blue, a balance of 20000.00 DMO, two bet panels at 5.00 DMO with AUTO switches for BET and COLLECT, and other players' 0.10 DMO bets below.

How a CricketX round works

SmartSoft Gaming, the studio behind JetX, describes CricketX as "a fast-paced crash game inspired by the globally popular sport of cricket". On screen a red cricket ball rises through a blue sky, the multiplier in large white figures beneath it. The help speaks of the ball's height: a win is calculated "by multiplying the current height coefficient and the made bet", and the height "is not determined and varies from 1 to infinity".

A round has two halves. First the bets come in, shown in SmartSoft's demo as GETTING THE BETS over a progress bar and short cricket scenes. Then the ball flies. Press COLLECT before it explodes and, in the help's words, "the profit is instantly reflected on the balance"; if the explosion comes first, "the stake is considered lost". The help puts the minimum multiplier at 1.00x.

Timing matters in one more place. A bet can be cancelled only before the game starts loading: "Once the loading countdown begins, you won't be able to cancel your bet." A bet pressed while a ball is already flying waits: the button reads BET For next round, and the game's message says the bet "will be placed after the completion of the current round".

Two bets, Auto Bet and Auto Collect

  • One or two bets. The help offers "one or two bet on the same flight", and the screen has two identical panels, each with its own stake, BET button and COLLECT. Each bet has its own collect multiplier in the help, so one can be collected early while the other stays in the air.
  • Auto Bet and Auto Collect. Each panel has an AUTO switch for the bet and another for the collect: one places a preset stake, the other collects at a preset multiplier. The help says both switch on when a new round starts after you mark them.
  • The lowest target. The help's "minimum odd for auto collect is 1.35". In SmartSoft's demo the target field shows 2.00x until you change it.

94.0% to 98.9%: what the help says about the return

The help gives the return in one line: "RTP for the game is 94.0-98.9%." It follows with "The maximum RTP can be achieved by the player when opting to bet on the lowest possible crash multiplier (coefficient)." The top of the range belongs to a choice the player makes: the lowest possible cash-out multiplier. The help does not say which choice returns 94.0%, or how the figure moves between the ends.

On paper, R100 staked over a very large number of rounds comes back as about R98.90 at the top of the range and R94 at the bottom, a gap of R4.90 (our arithmetic). Both ends are below R100: every figure the help gives returns less than the stake over time. The help ties the top of the range to the player's cash-out choice and names no casino setting for it, so this page lists the RTP as depending on when you cash out.

25,000x and the maximum win in money

The help lets the ball's height run "from 1 to infinity", but not a bet. It says that "when maximum coefficient to 25000x is reached, the win amount is auto collected": a bet still riding at 25,000x is paid there without a press.

The help also prints limits in money: the lowest and highest stake and a "Max win". SmartSoft's demo, in its own DMO credits, shows stakes of 0.1 to 100.00 and a maximum win of 10000 DMO, so above a 0.4 DMO stake the money limit comes before 25,000x (our arithmetic).

Where the money limit meets 25,000x

Our arithmetic, in SmartSoft's demo credits, not rand; a casino's own help shows its own limits.

Stake (DMO)25,000x would payMultiplier that reaches 10,000 DMO

The results strip and the side panels

  • Past results. A strip of earlier multipliers sits beside the game panel, and each round joins it after the explosion. The help colours them: blue for results "not more than 1.5" and green above that.
  • Other players. A table lists each player's bet, collect and win for the round, with tabs for your own bets and the top wins; SmartSoft's phone screenshot also shows a chat tab.

What no target or staking pattern changes

The help's highest return, 98.9%, goes to the lowest target, and even that is below 100%; by the help's own line, no other target returns more. A split between two bets or doubling after a loss changes how results arrive, not the house edge, and no staking pattern or system beats it. The results strip shows rounds that have already ended, and the help calls the ball's height "not determined": an app or signal that claims to know it before the ball flies claims more than the game's own rules allow.

CricketX FAQ ❓

What is the RTP of CricketX?

SmartSoft's help for the game gives 94.0-98.9%. It adds that the maximum RTP can be achieved by the player when opting to bet on the lowest possible crash multiplier, so the top of the range goes to the lowest cash-out target. Both ends return less than the stake over time.

What is the maximum win in CricketX?

The help says a bet is collected automatically when the multiplier reaches 25,000x. It also prints a maximum win in money: 10000 DMO in SmartSoft's demo, which a 100 DMO stake reaches at 100x by our arithmetic. Your casino's help shows its own figure.

Can I place two bets in one CricketX round?

Yes. The help offers one or two bets on the same flight, and each panel has its own stake, BET button and AUTO switches for the bet and the collect. The lowest Auto Collect target the help allows is 1.35x.

Can I cancel a CricketX bet?

Only before the game starts loading. The help says that once the loading countdown begins, the bet can no longer be cancelled. A bet pressed while a ball is flying is placed after the current round ends.

Is CricketX the same game as CricketerX or JetX?

No. All three are SmartSoft Gaming crash games, but CricketerX has its own page and demo on SmartSoft's site, and JetX flies a jet rather than a cricket ball. This page covers CricketX only.
