Skyward in South Africa: BetGames' Crash Game, Two Bets and a 100,000x Top Multiplier
Skyward is the plane-themed crash game BetGames launched in November 2023, its first in the format. You place up to two bets before take-off, a multiplier climbs from 1.00 while the plane flies, and a bet pays only if it is cashed out before the plane flies away. BetGames publishes a 97% RTP, rates the volatility very high and puts the top multiplier at 100,000x, though the operator's maximum win can end a bet sooner. How a Skyward round works
Skyward is animated rather than live, and BetGames calls it a multiplayer game: each flight is one numbered draw, and the Results page lists them. A draw opens with a countdown and the words Place your bets. That is the only betting window: a bet placed once the plane is in the air is carried over to the next draw, which is why the button then reads Place bet, Next draw.
At take-off the multiplier starts at 1.00 and rises as the flight goes on. The button of each live bet turns into Cash out and shows what the bet would pay right now: in BetGames' own images a 5-euro bet reads 6.95 at 1.39x. The payout is the multiplier at cash-out times the original stake. When the plane flies away, the screen shows Flew away with the final multiplier in red, and any bet still riding is lost.
Three rules sit on top of that. Where winnings are taxed, the payout can come to less than stake times multiplier. For the same reason the operator may switch cash-out off at the very start of a flight, while the multiplier is still very low, so that a payout never falls below the stake. And a bet that reaches the maximum multiplier, 100,000x by BetGames' figure, is cashed out automatically.
Two bets, Auto cash out and Auto play 💳
- Two independent bets. The rules allow up to two bets per draw, in two identical windows that operate independently. Each has its own stake, Cash out button and automatic settings, so one bet can leave early while the other stays in the air.
- Auto cash out. Switch it on and choose a multiplier, and the bet is cashed out there without a tap. It fires only while the plane is still flying: if the plane flies away at exactly your target, rule 4.3 counts the bet as lost. Pressing Cash out earlier overrides it.
- Auto play. It places your bet for a number of rounds you pick, 10, 25, 50 or 100 in BetGames' demo. Cashing out stays yours to press unless Auto cash out is on, and the Auto play window has its own switch for it. It can stop itself when your balance falls or rises by a set amount, or when a single win passes one. Where a jurisdiction does not allow autoplay, the rules say it is switched off.
- What two bets cannot do. Splitting a stake between an early exit and a late one changes how your results are spread over a session. It does not tilt the game your way: no staking pattern, doubling after losses or cutting back, beats the house edge.
100,000x and the operator's maximum win
BetGames gives Skyward's maximum multiplier as 100,000x on its game page and in its launch news. The rules add a limit that can apply much earlier. The operator sets the minimum bet, the maximum bet and the maximum win, and once a multiplier would pay the maximum win or more, the bet is cashed out at that amount automatically, with an icon in the bet results.
The limits in force are in the game's Settings menu, under Game limits: minimum bet, maximum bet and maximum win per draw. BetGames' own demo, which plays in euros, reads 1, 1,000 and 2,000 euros. There a bet at the maximum reaches the cap at 2x and a 1-euro bet at 2,000x (our arithmetic), far below 100,000x. The bet is then paid at the cap.
What BetGames says about fairness
Rule 6.2 says each round's multiplier is generated with certified random number generation, fair and unpredictable. The game's Certified RNG note, also behind the shield beside each result on the Results page, says its RNG produces numbers that meet BMM's statistical randomness criteria. The rules mention no seed or hash a player could check after a round.
Unpredictable is the word that matters for your money. The Last results strip and the Results page record past draws; they do not forecast the next one. An app, channel or bot selling Skyward signals is selling a forecast of a number the studio's own rules call unpredictable.
Disconnections, cancelled rounds and complaints
- Your connection drops with a bet in play. The bet stays in the round. If you get back before the plane flies away, you can still cash out by hand. Otherwise, in the words of rule 5.2.1, it persists "until it either loses or reaches the maximum win limit predefined by the player using the ‘autoplay’ feature". With Auto play on, rule 5.2.2 adds, winnings are collected automatically once the multiplier you set is reached.
- A round is cancelled. Rounds can be cancelled after a technical failure. Your stake comes back, with the odds set to 1.00, and a bet you cashed out before the cancellation keeps its win.
- You want to complain about a draw. Note the draw number from the Results page and find the bet in Bet history. Claims about a draw or a technical fault go to the operator within 30 days of the draw, or longer where the law governing the operator requires it.
