SkyPilot is a crash game from Aardvark Technologies, a supplier of betting and gaming technology whose South African terms give an address in Illovo. You stake before take-off, the multiplier climbs, and you cash out before the plane flies away or lose the stake. The rules allow up to 100,000x, add a 2x cash-out that appears at random and let you run two bets at once. The studio's page gives 97% for online play, and the rules in its own demo say 96.6%.

How a SkyPilot round works
Stakes go in before take-off. A bet placed while a plane is already in the air waits for the next round, and until take-off a Cancel button takes it back. Once the plane is up the multiplier climbs, and by the rules it climbs faster the longer the plane stays in the air.
The Cashout button shows what your bet would pay at that moment. Press it before the plane flies away and the stake is multiplied by the figure on screen; miss it and the stake is lost. The rules give the multiplier a minimum of 1.00x and a maximum of 100,000x, and the lowest auto cash-out is 1.01x, so by our reading a flight that ends at 1.00x pays no auto cash-out.
Double Betting lets you place "two independent bets in a single game round", each cashed out separately, so one can leave early while the other stays on.
Auto cash-out, auto play and the random 2x
The rules add a few tools, and one feature nobody controls.
- Auto Cash Out. Cashes out by itself at a multiplier you set, from 1.01x to 100,000x.
- Auto Play. Plays a set number of rounds at a set stake, and stops early if total winnings, total losses or a single win pass amounts you choose. Fill in the loss stop first. In the studio's demo the Game Information table lists Auto Play as available.
- The random 2x cash-out. It "appears randomly during a round", and while it is active all cash-outs are doubled, with a 2x icon below the multiplier (a MULTIPLIER 2x badge in the studio's pictures). The rules do not say how often it appears, so it is nothing to stake around.
- Round history. Past multipliers run along the bottom of the screen: a record of finished flights, not a forecast of the next one.
Which return figure applies: 97%, 96.6% or the shop's
Aardvark's game page gives 97% for online play, while the rules and the Game Information table in the studio's own demo on that page both say 96.6%; neither explains the difference. The page's 92.5% or 95% belong to the retail version in betting shops.
So read the figure at your casino before you stake. On R1,000 of total stakes, 97% means R970 back in theory and 96.6% means R966 (our arithmetic); a single session swings far more.
The same table lists volatility as "Player-dependent" rather than a rating. The game's own tips describe the choice: early cash-outs win more often in smaller amounts, holding on wins less often but can pay much more. The rules give one RTP and do not tie it to your target.
Free bets: a tool the studio offers casinos
Aardvark's game page, written for casinos, lists Free Bets among the online features available now, with one line: "Encourage players to try". The rules in the studio's demo have no chapter on free bets, so read the terms of any free-bet offer at your casino before you use it.
When the signal drops mid-flight
A connection lost before take-off means a refund. During the flight the game "will try to auto-cash out your bet", and with auto cash-out on it will "attempt to cash out at the multiplier at that moment": try and attempt, not a promise. A software or server failure voids and refunds bets.
Auto Play resumes by itself when the connection returns, so a run you thought had ended can carry on. Your ping shows in the bottom-right corner, and above 1,000 ms the rules recommend auto cash-out. A Data Saver switch toggles the animations "to save device power".
Jackpots, tournaments and a 50% cash-out: coming soon online
For online play the studio's game page lists tournaments, leaderboards, multi-tiered jackpots and a 50% cash-out (half now, the rest later) under "Coming Soon". Its pictures already show jackpot bars and a 50% CASHOUT button, but the rules cover neither.
The retail version for betting shops has features of its own, such as one-minute game sessions, bets placed up to 100 rounds ahead and a three-tier jackpot system; none of that describes the online game.
SkyPilot predictors cannot see the next crash 🚫
The flight runs on the game's servers, the rules publish no seed or hash a player could check, and the history bar shows only finished rounds. An app that promises the next crash can take a fee or your casino password: type that password only into the casino's own site or app.
The game's own strategy tips, in rand 🎯
SkyPilot's description lists five approaches. No staking pattern or system beats the house edge: a pattern changes how much you stake, not the return on each rand. The rand figures are our arithmetic.
- Low and high volatility. Cash out early for more frequent, smaller wins, or hold on for less frequent, larger ones. At R10 with a 1.50x target, a win adds R5 and a crash costs R10: one miss cancels two wins.
- Martingale. The description's version doubles the stake after each loss, and the game itself warns it "can deplete your balance quickly during losing streaks". From R5 at 2x, seven losses cost R635 and the eighth bet is R640, to finish R5 ahead, if the casino's maximum stake allows it.
- Reverse Martingale and mixing. The description also suggests raising the stake after each win, or mixing approaches. The crash that ends a streak takes its biggest bet.
