High Flyer Crash Game in South Africa: Pragmatic Play's Rules, Limits and 1,000,000x
High Flyer is the crash game Pragmatic Play launched in September 2024, the third in its crash range after Spaceman and Big Bass Crash. During a short countdown you confirm up to two bets, then an orange biplane takes off and a multiplier climbs from 1.00x. A bet pays only if it is cashed out before the plane flies off. Pragmatic publishes a 97% RTP and a top multiplier of 1,000,000x, although a per-bet payout cap can settle a large win sooner.

How a High Flyer round works
Every round opens with a short betting window, shown as NEXT GAME IN with a countdown; at launch, Pragmatic's chief operating officer spoke of "only five seconds between flights". You pick a stake, press CONFIRM BET and can change the bet until BETS CLOSED appears. Arrive later and the screen says WAIT FOR NEXT GAME: you watch that flight and can already set up a bet for the next one.
Then the multiplier starts at 1.00x and rises the longer the plane flies, until the Crash at what the help calls "a random predetermined multiplier value". Cash out before it and the bet pays its stake times the multiplier at that moment; anything still riding when the plane flies off is lost. A Crash at 1.00x takes every bet in the round.
Selected operators can brand the plane, background and status messages, so a casino's version can look unlike the official images.
Two bet spots, Auto Cashout and Autoplay
- Two bet spots. Up to two bets per round; Settings sets how many bet spots you see. Each spot has its own auto cashout threshold and manual cash-out, so one bet can leave early while the other keeps climbing.
- Auto Cashout. Switch it on during the betting time and set a target; in Pragmatic's demo the help allows 1.01x to 100x. Its note says the selected multiplier is paid "if it is less or equal to the Crash multiplier", so a flight ending exactly on it still pays. The target locks when the round starts, but CASHOUT still lets you leave earlier by hand.
- Autoplay. In Pragmatic's demo you place a bet, set its Auto Cashout, then choose how many rounds Autoplay repeats it. Changing the stake or the target means cancelling the bet. Autoplay stops when the rounds run out, when the balance is too low, or on a trigger you set: balance down or up by an amount, or a single win above a value.
- What a second bet cannot do. Two exits change how results spread over a session, not the house edge. No staking pattern, doubling after a loss or system of targets beats it.
Rounding and the optimal 97%
The help's cash-out chapter says "All winnings are rounded down to two decimals". Its Return to Player chapter reads: "The optimal theoretical Return to Player in High Flyer game is 97%, reached by cashing out at whole numbers to avoid rounding."
By our arithmetic, a R0.50 bet settled at 1.37x comes to R0.685 and is paid as R0.68. At 1.01x it comes to R0.505 and is paid as R0.50, the stake back and nothing more. At 2x it is exactly R1.00. Rounding takes less than a cent from any single win, so it weighs most on low stakes and low targets.
1,000,000x and the per-bet payout cap
Pragmatic's game page offers multipliers of up to 1,000,000x, and the help makes it the ceiling: a bet still flying at 1,000,000x is paid automatically. The same rule adds a second limit that can come first: a bet is also paid automatically once its potential win reaches the table's maximum payout.
Both appear in the Payouts & Limits panel, opened from the arrow beside the game name. Pragmatic's demo, which plays in euros, shows bets of €0.10 to €100, payouts of 1.01x to 1,000,000x and "Maximum payout per bet: 1,000,000x or € 250,000 (or currency equivalent), whichever is reached first." By our arithmetic only a stake of €0.25 or less could reach 1,000,000x before that cap; a €100 bet meets it at 2,500x. The help applies the cap "If a payout limit is set in the game", so a casino's own table can show another figure.
Delays, disconnections and cancelled rounds
- A cash-out is a request. The help says cash-outs in this real-time game are subject to delays, "usually around 100-200ms" depending on your connection, and are settled at the multiplier current when the game server processes them, provided the Crash has not happened. One that cannot be processed shows CASHOUT FAILED.
- Your connection drops. Before BETS CLOSED, the bet is discarded. After BETS CLOSED but before take-off, or while the multiplier is 1x, it is refunded, unless 1x is the Crash point and it loses. From 1.01x with no Crash yet, a Forced Cashout is applied the moment you disconnect, shown in History as Cashout (disconnection).
- Something breaks. A technical malfunction cancels the round and refunds all bets. For a dispute, give Live Support the round's Game ID; the help suggests a screenshot of it.
What the statistics can and cannot tell you
The Bets tab lists the 50 highest bets for the coming round and fills in cash-outs live, History keeps your own bets, Top shows the top wins, biggest cashed multipliers and highest Crash multipliers, and Stats charts the last 500 results by multiplier range. An optional chat is, the help says, monitored by support staff.
None of it shows where the next flight ends: Bets lists stakes, the rest records finished rounds. The help calls each Crash point random and predetermined; 500 past results do not forecast the next. High Flyer "signals" sold by apps, channels or bots claim to forecast a number the rules call random.
