How Hit Bar works
Hit Bar has five reels of three symbols and 10 fixed paylines, drawn one by one at the end of the paytable. The BET button opens a drop-down where you pick one total bet; the number of lines never changes. The help says only the highest win pays on each line, wins on different lines are added, and combinations pay from the leftmost reel to the right.
The symbols are a blue diamond, a red seven, a watermelon, a lemon, a plum, cherries and grapes, plus two specials. The wild, the word WILD under a burst of stars, substitutes for any other symbol except HIT BAR. The HIT BAR symbol is the scatter: it counts anywhere on the reels and has no line pay of its own in the paytable; it starts the respin feature.
What five, four and three of a kind pay
The paytable shows each pay as money at the game's default €5.00 total bet. The last column is our division of those amounts by the bet, so the figures read as multiples of whatever total bet you choose.

The Hit Bar Respin feature
Five or more HIT BAR symbols landing anywhere on the reels in the main game start the feature. In the help's words, all symbols lock in position, each cell then spins on its own, and only HIT BAR symbols are visible. Any new HIT BAR that lands is held and retriggers the respin, and the feature ends when a respin brings no new one.
The help sets the limit at 15 HIT BAR symbols, which by our count is every position of the five-by-three grid. The payout ladder to the left of the reels shows the current win as the count climbs, and a summary screen shows the feature win at the end.

The paytable's ladder gives each step as a number from 5 to 1000; at a €5.00 total bet the ladder beside the reels shows the same steps in euro. The last two columns are our arithmetic: the euro amount divided by the bet, and the result applied to a R2 spin.

How the ladder is shaped
By our division, the ladder climbs slowly at first: from five to ten symbols each step adds 5 times the bet, from 5x to 30x, and 11 symbols give 40x. The named steps then grow faster: 50x at 12, 100x at 13, 250x at 14 and 1000x for all 15, four times the step below it.
Mini, Minor, Major and Grand are the names of fixed steps on this ladder; the help describes no prize pool behind them. The version with a jackpot is a separate Playtech game, Hit Bar PowerPlay Jackpot.
Which Hit Bar build is your casino running?

We read four builds on Playtech's server that all show HIT BAR as the title: their paytables pay the same multiples and their rules match word for word, but the RTP reads 96.00% in one, 92.97% in two and 87.49% in one. By our arithmetic, R1,000 of spins returns R960 in theory at the top figure and R874.90 at the bottom one.
