HelicopterX in South Africa: SmartSoft's Crash Game, the Diamond Feature and 100,000x
HelicopterX, written Helicopter X on SmartSoft Gaming's own page, is a crash game from the JetX studio. In SmartSoft's images a helicopter holds a diamond on a chain. Each round a multiplier climbs from 1.00x: collect before the helicopter flies off, or the stake is lost. Its twist is the Diamond Feature, a boost of 2x to 100x generated at the start of each round. The game's help gives an RTP of 96.2% to 98.9% and pays out automatically at 100,000x or at the money cap, whichever comes first.

How a HelicopterX round works
SmartSoft Gaming, the studio behind JetX, lists Helicopter X among its crash games: "Players place bets as the helicopter ascends, aiming to cash out before the multiplier stops climbing." In the game's help the helicopter is the main character, each round starts at 1.00x, and the goal is "to try and collect your winnings before the game crashes and the helicopter flies off".
Cash-outs start at 1.01x, and a win is the bet multiplied "by the X value you collect in that round": R10 collected at 2.50x returns R25 (our arithmetic). The HOW TO WIN chapter ends: "If it occurs at 1.00x, the bet placed on that round is automatically lost." Our reading: "it" is a crash at 1.00x, which comes before the first possible collect at 1.01x.
In SmartSoft's demo the betting window reads BET RECEIVING, the bet buttons show NEXT ROUND BET during a flight, and a finished round shows FLEW AWAY in red over its final multiplier.
The Diamond Feature: a boost from 2x to 100x, at random
SmartSoft's own news post calls it the game's "unique Diamond Feature". The help describes it as "a special Crash Multiplier boost that ranges from 2X to 100X and is generated at the start of each round". Once activated, it "accelerates the multiplier increase rate", and "the X from the Diamond Feature can be transferred to the Helicopter's X".
The limits sit in the same paragraph: "activation is random and can be interrupted by a crash". A boost drawn high is not a promise of a high round, since the helicopter can fly off first. The help does not say how often the feature activates or how much of its X a round passes on.
Single or Double bets, and Auto Play
- 1 Bet or 2 Bet. The Betting Strategy switcher offers a Single or a Double bet, and the +/- buttons set each stake before the round begins. The help lists a minimum and a maximum bet for each position.
- Auto Play. SmartSoft's help hides this chapter for some jurisdictions. Where it shows, a window for single or double bets sets 5 to 100 rounds (the help says spins), the bet size and an Auto Collect multiplier from 1.1x to 5,000x, a twentieth of the game's 100,000x (our arithmetic). It can stop on a single win above an amount, or when the balance falls or rises by a set amount.
96.2% to 98.9%: the return and your target
The help's Other Rule chapter gives the return as 96.2% to 98.9%, then says: "You cannot influence or increase the chances of winning, or define the outcome of the game in any way", and "The maximum RTP can be achieved by the player when opting to bet on the lowest possible total multiplier." In our reading, the crash point is not yours to move, but the target is, and the help ties the top of the range to the lowest one.
Over a very large number of rounds, R100 staked comes back as about R98.90 at the top of the range and R96.20 at the bottom (our arithmetic): less than the stake either way. A SmartSoft news post of February 2025 quotes a single "RTP of 97%"; this page follows the help, which names no casino setting, and lists the RTP as depending on when you cash out.
100,000x, and a money cap that can come first
The HOW TO WIN chapter sets two ceilings, "a maximum multiplier of 100,000x or a maximum win" in money: "The system automatically cashes out when one of the limits is reached." It puts "the theoretical maximum of 100,000x" at "approximately once every 102,433 rounds".
SmartSoft's demo, in its own DMO credits, lists bets of 0.05 to 500 and a maximum win of 100000 DMO, so above a 1 DMO stake the money cap arrives first, and a 500 DMO bet meets it at 200x (our arithmetic). Those are the demo's figures; read the limits in the help where you play.
If the connection drops
The help covers disconnections, defined as more than 6 seconds without connection, case by case.
- Bet placed during the betting window. The bet stays valid. If you do not return, the game runs on to the maximum win cap and credits the win, unless a crash comes first and the bet is lost.
- Before the betting window. A disconnection before the next round's bet receiving phase voids the bet and refunds it to the balance.
- Multiplier climbing. The system cashes the bet out at the multiplier showing when the disconnection was detected.
- Automatic targets. A bet with an auto cash-out target stays active until that target and is lost if the crash comes first. Auto Play switches off after the next round.
What your target changes, and what no system can
The help gives its highest return, 98.9%, to the lowest total multiplier, and even that is below 100%. Doubling after a loss or splitting a stake across two bets changes how results arrive, and no figure in the help's range reaches 100%: no staking pattern or system beats the house edge. The help also says you cannot increase the chances of winning, so an app or signal that promises to know where the helicopter flies off claims what the help rules out.
