Rainbow Jackpots Tap-A-Roo in South Africa: A Leprechaun, 17 Sectors and Free Taps
Rainbow Jackpots Tap-A-Roo is an instant game from Tap-A-Roo, a studio of the Evolution Group, released on 1 September 2025. It has no reels to spin: you tap, and a leprechaun may appear from a pot of gold and blow his pipe at some of the 17 sectors in the scene. Fourteen of them hold Cash Prizes from 0.2x to 50x the bet; light up all three Bonus sectors in one round and five Free Taps follow.
Figures from provider data, September 2026. The RTP is the figure the studio publishes; check the ranking and the game's own info screen before you deposit.

Seventeen sectors and a pot of gold
Rainbow Jackpots Tap-A-Roo is a single scene with a pot of gold in the middle. In the studio's words: 'A total of 14 Cash Prize and 3 Bonus sectors are placed in the game.' Each Cash Prize is 'a bet Multiplier of the current bet', so a 7x sector pays seven stakes.
What happens on a tap is down to one character. 'On every bet the Lucky Leprechaun may appear from the pot of gold in the middle of the game scene and blow his pipe to activate 1 or more random sectors.' A Cash Prize sector he activates pays its prize. The word is 'may': the rules do not promise that he turns up on every tap, and they give no chance for it.
The fourteen prizes the page lists are 0.2x, 0.5x, 0.7x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x, 3x, 5x, 7x, 10x, 15x, 20x and 50x. The first three return less than the stake on their own. The page does not say how many sectors one blow can light at most, or whether every sector keeps the same prize from tap to tap.
The fourteen Cash Prizes at a R2 bet
Prize values are Tap-A-Roo's; the rand amounts and the x10 column are our arithmetic for one prize.
| Cash Prize | At R2 | Under a x10 Lucky Multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| 0.2x | R0.40 | R4.00 |
| 0.5x | R1.00 | R10.00 |
| 0.7x | R1.40 | R14.00 |
| 1x | R2.00 | R20.00 |
| 1.5x | R3.00 | R30.00 |
| 2x | R4.00 | R40.00 |
| 2.5x | R5.00 | R50.00 |
| 3x | R6.00 | R60.00 |
| 5x | R10.00 | R100.00 |
| 7x | R14.00 | R140.00 |
| 10x | R20.00 | R200.00 |
| 15x | R30.00 | R300.00 |
| 20x | R40.00 | R400.00 |
| 50x | R100.00 | R1,000.00 |
The Lucky Multiplier from the pipe
Sometimes the pipe gives more than sectors. 'Randomly, when the Lucky Leprechaun appears, he may blow out a random prize Multiplier from his pipe that applies to each awarded Cash Prize.' There are four values: x2, x3, x5 and x10.
Because it applies to each prize of that tap, a blow that lights a 3x and a 5x under x5 pays 40x the bet, by our arithmetic (15x plus 25x), R80 at R2. The top single case, 50x under x10, is 500x or R1,000 at R2, again our sum. Tap-A-Roo publishes no chance for any multiplier value.
The x10 is the step that sets this game apart from its sister title on the site, Great Pyramid Tap-A-Roo, whose vase stops at x7 and whose bonus is a Plinko board rather than free taps.
Free Taps: five rounds with the leprechaun on duty
The three Bonus sectors pay no cash themselves. 'Activating all 3 Bonus sectors in a round awards 5 Free Taps.' All three have to light in the same round; the page describes no meter that keeps one or two of them for later.
Inside the feature two things change, by the studio's text: the leprechaun 'appears in each round', and he always awards a Lucky Multiplier as well. So every free tap carries at least x2 on whatever Cash Prizes it lights. Lighting all three Bonus sectors again during Free Taps 'awards 5 additional taps', and the page sets no limit on how often that can happen.
The rules do not say that a free tap always lights a Cash Prize sector, so we do not quote a minimum for the feature.
One base-game tap, step by step
- You choose a bet and tap; that tap is the whole round.
- The Lucky Leprechaun may come out of the pot of gold; the rules give no chance for it.
- If he appears, he blows his pipe at one or more random sectors.
- Each Cash Prize sector he lights pays its multiple of the bet.
- He may also blow out a x2, x3, x5 or x10 that multiplies each of those prizes.
- If all three Bonus sectors lit in that round, five Free Taps start.
Bonus Buy: 15x and 35x 🎁
Tap-A-Roo lists two purchases. For 15x the bet, the leprechaun is certain to appear in that round and 'award a Lucky Multiplier'. For 35x the bet, all three Bonus sectors are activated in the round and Free Taps start.
At a R2 bet that is R30 and R70, by our arithmetic. The cheaper option promises a multiplier, not a particular Cash Prize, so a bought round that lights only a 0.2x sector under x2 returns 0.4x, R0.80 at R2. The page gives no separate RTP for either purchase.
What Tap-A-Roo publishes
The studio's page gives an RTP of 96.74% and a Max payout of '923 x bet', R1,846 at a R2 bet by our sum. That is Tap-A-Roo's figure: the rules on the page name no win limit and do not explain how 923x follows from the prizes and multipliers. No volatility and no hit frequency are shown. No staking pattern changes the house edge.
The release date is 1 September 2025 and the bet range €0.10 to €500.00, in euro; the rand range is in each casino's lobby. The footer names Evolution Gaming Malta Limited and its Malta Gaming Authority licence MGA/CRP/187/2010.
The name is shared with a reel slot by a different studio of the same group: Red Tiger's Rainbow Jackpots Power Lines has its own leprechaun, rules and figures, and none of them apply here. Our RTP and volatility guide explains what an RTP says about a session.

Rainbow Jackpots Tap-A-Roo FAQ ❓
Is Rainbow Jackpots Tap-A-Roo the same game as Red Tiger's Rainbow Jackpots?
No. It is made by Tap-A-Roo, another studio of the Evolution Group, and it is a one-tap game with 17 sectors, not a reel slot. Red Tiger's Rainbow Jackpots titles have their own rules, RTP and features.
What does the Lucky Leprechaun do?
On any bet he may come out of the pot of gold and blow his pipe to activate one or more random sectors. Each Cash Prize sector he lights pays 0.2x to 50x the bet, and he may add a x2, x3, x5 or x10 multiplier to each prize.
How do I get the Free Taps?
All three Bonus sectors have to be activated in the same round. That gives 5 Free Taps in which the leprechaun appears every time and always adds a multiplier; all three Bonus sectors again during the feature add 5 more taps.
What is the biggest win Tap-A-Roo lists?
The studio's page gives a Max payout of 923x the bet, R1,846 at a R2 bet by our arithmetic. It is the studio's figure, not a forecast, and the rules on the page name no win limit.
Is there a best time or pattern for tapping?
No. The leprechaun, the sectors and the multiplier are all random in the studio's rules, and nothing on the page ties them to an hour, a bet size or earlier taps. No staking pattern beats the house edge.
