How Dynamite Riches plays
Dynamite Riches has five reels of four symbols each and pays on up to 20 lines, by Red Tiger's game page, which dates its release to 21 November 2019. The studio describes it as a gold-mining slot in which the player lights a dynamite fuse to unlock four features, with a Gold Spins round on top.
What sets it apart from most slots is the order of things. At the start of the game none of the four features works. They open one at a time, in a fixed order, as Dynamite Wild symbols land, and a feature that is open can come back at random on later spins. Red Tiger's figures for the game list no feature buy, and the help describes none.
The fuse in four stages
Each Dynamite Wild counts for one step of game progress, and each stage opens one feature. The counts and totals are the game's own help; the totals add up the stages so far, 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 = 30.
| Stage | Dynamite Wilds needed | Running total | Feature it unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|
| First | 6 | 6 | Remove Low-Paying Symbols |
| Second | 7 | 13 | Random Wilds |
| Third | 8 | 21 | Multiplier |
| Fourth | 9 | 30 | Mega Wilds |
What each unlocked feature does
By the help, a feature triggers on the spin right after it is unlocked and then at random on later spins; with more than one open, several can trigger on the same spin.
- Remove Low-Paying Symbols. All low-paying symbols leave the reels and only high-paying symbols land for that spin.
- Random Wilds. A random number of Wilds lands on the reels. The help gives no range for how many.
- Multiplier. A Win Multiplier is added and, in the help's words, applied to 'the next win that occurs'. The help names no multiplier values.
- Mega Wilds. One or more Wild Super symbols land, each from 2x2 to 3x3 in size. On a grid four rows high, a 3x3 block covers nine of the 20 positions, by our count.
Why each stage takes longer than the last
Two rules work against a quick fourth stage. Each stage asks for one Dynamite Wild more than the one before, and the help adds that a Dynamite Wild which lands lights the fuse and is then removed from the reels, "resulting in a lower chance of landing Dynamite Wilds with each step". So the last nine are rarer than the first six, not only more numerous.
Once the fourth feature is unlocked, Dynamite Wilds no longer land at all. From then on the game plays with all four features open, each triggering at random. The help gives no chance for any of them, so nothing on this page puts a number on how often a feature comes.
Gold Spins: how many bonus spins a trigger gives 🎁
Gold Spins symbols may land on any reel, in the base game and during the bonus spins. The rows for three symbols are the help's; the rows for four and five apply its rule for each extra symbol, by our arithmetic.
| Gold Spins symbols | In the base game | During Gold Spins |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 8 bonus spins | 4 more bonus spins |
| 4 | 10 bonus spins, our arithmetic | 5 more, our arithmetic |
| 5 | 12 bonus spins, our arithmetic | 6 more, our arithmetic |
A Multiplier that crosses between the rounds
The Multiplier is the one feature with a rule about the bonus round. If a Multiplier is active when Gold Spins begin, it goes to the first win of the round. If one is still active when the bonus spins end, it goes to the next win back in the base game. By our reading of those two rules, a Multiplier waits for a win rather than lapsing with the spin that set it.
Two RTP figures, one volatility label 📊
Red Tiger's page gives an RTP of 95.70%. The page on Evolution's games site, the group that owns Red Tiger, gives 94.76%. The facts panel carries Red Tiger's number; the studio publishes no list of settings, and this page does not say which figure a South African casino runs. The game's own rules screen at the casino is the place to read it. The house edge works out at 4.30% on the first figure and 5.24% on the second, by our arithmetic; how a player stakes does not move either number.
On volatility the two sites agree: HIGH on Red Tiger's badge, High on Evolution's games site. Our RTP and volatility guide explains how to read that label next to the RTP.
Red Tiger also lists a hit frequency of 29.52%, a little under three paying spins in ten over a long run, by our arithmetic, and a 'Max payout' of 5,341 times the bet. On an example R1 stake that is R5,341, and R10,682 on R2, by our arithmetic. It is the studio's figure for the game, not an amount a session should be expected to reach.
