Race Track is Evolution's quick racing game: six racers line up, you back the one you think crosses the line first, and the winner is drawn at random according to each racer's chance. Every race brings a new line-up and new payouts. Depending on your market, a live game host presents it or the race runs without one.
Figures from provider data, September 2026. The RTP is the figure the studio publishes; check the ranking and the game's own info screen before you deposit.

How a Race Track round works
Evolution keeps a stable of 50 racers, and each race takes six of them at random. Its rules sort every line-up into a couple of strong racers with a high chance of winning, some average ones and some underdogs. The six bet spots are the six lanes, and the lanes follow strength: the strongest racer runs in lane one, the weakest in lane six.
While betting is open you can back one racer, several, or all six. When the betting time ends the race starts, and the rules say how the winner is chosen: it "is randomly determined based on its probability of winning". Only one racer wins. A bet on it is paid at that racer's payout, and every other bet of the round is lost.
The payouts are not fixed. Evolution's rules say the winning odds and payouts for the bet spots change from race to race, so the price of lane one in this race says nothing about its price in the next.
What 96.00% for any bet means for the price of a racer
Evolution's help gives one figure for the whole game: the optimal theoretical return is 96.00% for any bet. Since a racer's payout changes with its chance, the two are tied together. By our arithmetic, a racer paying 5:1 returns R6 for every R1 when it wins, so a 96.00% return means it wins about 16% of races (0.96 divided by 6). A racer paying 1:1 would win about 48%, one paying 19:1 about 4.8%. These are worked examples of the formula, not prices Evolution publishes for a given race.
The same figure decides what happens if you cover the field. One racer always wins, so a bet on all six always pays something back, but by our arithmetic R10 on each of the six returns R57.60 of the R60 on average. Backing favourites or outsiders changes how often you win and how much, not the return: every bet spot carries the same 96.00%, and no staking pattern turns it into an edge.
The two statistics modes: All Horses and Tipster's Choice
During the betting phase you can switch between two views of the racers' history. Both describe past races.
- All Horses (All Dinos in Dinosaur Mode). Shows how each racer has performed over its last 100 races next to its theoretical winning probability, so you can see a racer that has won more or less often than its chance.
- Tipster's Choice. Highlights the racer or racers that have historically done better than the others. The rules call it help with your decision; they do not say that a good record raises a racer's chance in the next race, which is still drawn from its probability of winning.
Race Track versions: horses or dinosaurs, with or without a host
Evolution's game page lists two modes with two variants each; which one a casino shows depends on the player's jurisdiction.
| Mode | Racers | Game host |
|---|---|---|
| Horse Mode, variant 1 | Horses | Live video stream of the host |
| Horse Mode, variant 2 | Horses | No host stream |
| Dinosaur Mode, variant 1 | Dinosaurs | Live video stream of the host |
| Dinosaur Mode, variant 2 | Dinosaurs | No host stream |
A studio game, not a bet on real racing
The names of the horses and dinosaurs are fictional, and Evolution's rules add that any resemblance to real-life horses is coincidental. Nothing in Race Track follows a meeting at a real course, a form guide or a jockey: the result comes from the game's own draw. If you want to bet on actual horse racing, that is a sportsbook market with its own rules at each bookmaker.
Where a host appears, the host presents the race; the rules do not give the host any part in choosing the winner. Evolution also says that a malfunction voids the round and all its payouts, and that the bets are returned. Evolution's news about Red Baron, its crash game, says that game follows the studio's Stock Market and Race Track titles.

Pros, cons and verdict ⚖️
- One rule to learn: back the racer that finishes first
- The same published return, 96.00%, on every bet spot
- Lanes follow strength, and the All Horses view sets each racer's record against its chance
- Payouts change every race, so there is no fixed price list to learn
- Covering the whole field still loses on average
- A history view can look like a tip, while the next race is drawn afresh
Race Track is about as simple as a casino game gets: six runners, one winner, a payout set by the racer's chance. Evolution prices every bet to the same 96.00%, so the only real choice is how often you want to win and how much. Read the statistics as history, not as a forecast.
Race Track FAQ ❓
What is the RTP of Race Track?
Evolution's help gives an optimal theoretical return to player of 96.00% for any bet. It is the same for the strongest racer in lane one and the outsider in lane six; only the payout and the chance of winning differ.
How is the winner of a Race Track race decided?
By Evolution's rules, the winning racer is randomly determined based on its probability of winning once betting closes. Strong racers win more often and pay less, underdogs win less often and pay more. Only one racer wins each race.
Does Tipster's Choice predict the winner?
No. Tipster's Choice highlights racers that have done better than the others in past races. Evolution's rules still draw each race from the racers' probabilities of winning, and the return on every bet stays 96.00%, whichever racer you pick.
Is Race Track the same as betting on horse racing?
No. The racers are fictional, the race is part of the game, and the result comes from its random draw. Bets on real meetings are sportsbook markets, settled by each bookmaker's own racing rules.
Why are there dinosaurs in Race Track?
Dinosaur Mode is one of the game's two modes, with the same rules and six dinosaurs instead of six horses. Which mode you see, and whether a live host presents it, depends on the version your casino offers in your jurisdiction.
