Mahjong Wins Triple Pot in South Africa: Gold Tiles, Three Pots and 2,000 Ways
Mahjong Wins Triple Pot is a Pragmatic Play slot launched in June 2026, which the studio calls a sequel to Mahjong Wins Super Scatter. Mahjong tiles land on a 4-5-5-5-4 grid and pay across 2,000 ways, winning tiles tumble away, and a multiplier grows with each tumble. Gold tiles turn into wilds, and coloured coins are collected in three pots that can start eight free spins. The game's screens rate it medium volatility, with a win cap of 100,000 times the bet.

How Mahjong Wins Triple Pot pays
The reels are uneven: four positions on the first and last reel, five on the three in the middle. There are no paylines. The rules count up to 2,000 ways, and a win needs three to five matching tiles on adjacent reels from the leftmost one. Only the highest win is paid per way, and wins on several ways are added together.
The wild, a gold ingot, lands only on reels 2, 3 and 4 and stands in for every tile except the coloured bonus coins. Every win starts a tumble: winning tiles disappear, the rest fall, new ones drop in, until a tumble brings no new win.
What the mahjong tiles pay, in multiples of the bet
The rules screen prices each combination in dollars at the demo's $2.00 bet. Tile names are our description of the pictures; each figure is the dollar amount divided by 2, and the rand column is that multiple of a R2 bet (our arithmetic).
| Tile | 3 / 4 / 5 of a kind, times the bet | 5 of a kind at R2 |
|---|---|---|
| Green dragon tile | 0.4x / 1x / 2x | R4 |
| Red dragon tile | 0.32x / 0.8x / 1.6x | R3.20 |
| Blue-framed white tile | 0.24x / 0.6x / 1.2x | R2.40 |
| Character tile, eight | 0.2x / 0.4x / 0.6x | R1.20 |
| Five circles | 0.12x / 0.2x / 0.48x | R0.96 |
| Three circles | 0.12x / 0.2x / 0.48x | R0.96 |
| Two circles | 0.08x / 0.16x / 0.4x | R0.80 |
| Five bamboo sticks | 0.04x / 0.12x / 0.24x | R0.48 |
| Two bamboo sticks | 0.04x / 0.12x / 0.24x | R0.48 |
The tumble multiplier and the gold tiles
Two rules work on every base spin, and both feed the tumble chain.
- A multiplier trail above the reels. The trail reads x1, x2, x3, x5. By the rules, the multiplier for the current tumble rises to 2x, 3x and then 5x with every tumble, stays at 5x from the fourth tumble on, and resets when the chain ends. It applies to all wins of that tumble.
- What the trail does to one win. Five green dragons on one way pay R4 on a R2 spin; at the 5x step, R20 by our arithmetic.
- Gold tiles on the middle reels. On any spin, ordinary paying tiles marked in gold can appear at random positions on reels 2, 3 and 4. When a gold tile is part of a win, it turns into a wild for the next tumble instead of disappearing.
The three coins and their pots
The blue, red and purple bonus coins appear on reels 2, 3 and 4, and each pot above the reels belongs to one of them: blue to reel 2, red to reel 3, purple to reel 4. Every coin carries a random value of 10x, 15x, 20x, 30x, 50x, 75x, 100x, 150x, 250x, 500x, 1,000x, 5,000x, 25,000x or 100,000x the total bet.
The values 'cannot be awarded in the base game', and the rules add that they are not multiplied by the multiplier. A coin goes into its pot, and at random that can start the free spins with one, two or three pots active.
The pots are not a meter either: the rules say the collections 'exist only as a graphic representations for entertainment purposes'.
Free spins: what changes when a pot opens
When the feature starts, the values of the coins that triggered it are paid at once, and the round begins with eight free spins.
- Whole reels in gold. The reel under each triggering pot is active for the round, and every tile that lands on it is marked in gold.
- A higher multiplier trail. Wins start at 2x, then 4x, 6x and 10x with each tumble, staying at 10x until the chain ends and the trail returns to 2x.
- Coins on the other reels. Coins that took no part in the trigger can land on inactive reels. At random this retriggers the feature: two more free spins, and that reel turns gold for the rest of the round.
- When all three reels are gold. Once reels 2, 3 and 4 are all active, bonus coins stop landing.
Two RTP figures, medium volatility and a 100,000x cap
Pragmatic's game page gives the RTP as 96.50%, while the rules screen of its own free demo says 97.00%. Neither says which version a casino runs.
The intro screen and the rules call the game medium volatility, paying 'out steadily' with a range 'from low to very high'. Three of any tile pay under half the bet; the rules cap a win at 100,000x, and a free spins round that reaches it ends at once, with the spins left forfeited. No staking pattern beats the house edge, so set a budget in rand before the first spin.
The seven rules pages describe no feature buy and no special bet.

- Free spins turn whole reels gold and lift the multiplier trail to 10x
- The triggering coins' values, 10x to 100,000x the bet, are paid when the feature starts
- Rated medium volatility on the game's own screens, with the cap written out
- In the base game a coin's value is paid only when that coin starts the free spins

Mahjong Wins Triple Pot FAQ
How do you trigger the free spins in Mahjong Wins Triple Pot?
Through the coloured coins on reels 2, 3 and 4. Each coin goes into its pot, and at random that starts eight free spins with one, two or three pots active, paying the triggering coins' values.
What is the maximum win in Mahjong Wins Triple Pot?
The rules cap a win at 100,000x the bet, the highest coin value too. A free spins round that reaches it ends at once and the remaining spins are lost. On a R2 spin that is R200,000, by our arithmetic.
Is the RTP 96.50% or 97%?
Pragmatic's game page says 96.50%, the rules screen of its free demo 97.00%. Neither says which version a casino runs, so open the rules screen with the i button in your lobby.
What do the gold tiles do?
Gold tiles are ordinary paying tiles marked in gold on reels 2, 3 and 4. If one is part of a win, it becomes a wild for the next tumble. In free spins every tile on an active reel is gold.
Does a fuller pot mean the bonus is closer?
Not by the rules. They say the collections exist only as a graphic representation for entertainment, and that the free spins start at random when a coin is collected. Read a full-looking pot as decoration, not as a meter.
Is it the same game as Mahjong Wins Super Scatter?
No. Pragmatic presents Mahjong Wins Triple Pot as a sequel to Mahjong Wins Super Scatter, but it is a separate game with its own rules. This page and its casino list cover only Triple Pot.
