How Big Bass Splash works
Big Bass Splash has five reels, three rows and 10 paylines. Symbols pay from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel; only the highest win on each line is paid, and wins on several lines are added together.
The fish do two jobs. They pay on the lines from three of a kind, and they are the game's money symbols: at every spin the fish take a random money value of 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 200x, 500x, 1,666x, 2,500x or 5,000x the total bet, which the rules say can be won during free spins.
The fisherman is the wild: the rules put him on all reels during free spins, substituting for every symbol except the scatter. Three or more scatters start that round.
Big Bass Splash paytable in multiples of the total bet
The rules screen shows pays in cash at the current bet; each figure at the demo's default $2.00 is divided by that bet (our arithmetic), so five monster trucks at $400.00 are 200x. Pays are per line, and only the truck pays for two.

Two scatters in the base game: a respin or a hook
When two scatters land without a third, the rules give the base game a chance, through one of two random features, to bring another onto the screen. Pragmatic's launch post says the nudge comes "whenever two Scatters land"; this page follows the rules.
- The respin. At random, if the scatters can move down one position without leaving the reel area, their reels drop one place and the other reels respin. By our reading, a scatter on the bottom row rules this out.
- The hook. At random, a hook can pull one of the reels up to reveal another scatter.
Free spins: every fourth fisherman raises the level 🎁
Three, four or five scatters award 10, 15 or 20 free spins. Each fisherman wild collects all the money values on the screen, and every fisherman is counted until the round ends.
Every fourth fisherman retriggers the round with 10 more spins and raises the collection multiplier: 2x at the second level, 3x at the third, 10x at the fourth. The new spins are played after the current batch, at the raised multiplier. After the fourth level there are no more retriggers: three at most, by our count.
By our reading, two fishermen on one spin each collect the same fish. By our arithmetic at a R2 bet, fish worth 5x, 10x and 25x the bet pay one fisherman R80 at the first level and R800 at the fourth.
At the end of a free spin, three random events can step in. Fishermen but no fish: dynamite can add fish money symbols, or a bazooka can change every symbol except the fishermen. Fish but no fisherman: a hook pulls a reel up to bring fishermen onto the screen.
The modifiers drawn before free spins 🎁
Before the round, zero to five modifiers are selected at random for it; the demo's intro screen reads "Go fishin' for big free spins modifiers!" The rules list five.

The triggering spin lands 3, 4 or 5 scatters at random. The demo's rules give 96.71% RTP with or without the buy and describe no ante bet. By our arithmetic, 96.71% of 100x is an average of 96.71x back per bought round over a very long run, not what any one round pays.
The rules cap a win at 5,000 times the bet, R10,000 on a R2 spin by our arithmetic; a free spins round that reaches it ends at once, with the spins left forfeited. By our arithmetic, a single fish can reach the cap: 5,000x at the first level, 2,500x at 2x, 500x at 10x, while 1,666x at 3x makes 4,998x.
The rules screen rates the game medium volatility: such games "pay out steadily and the range of pays varies from low to very high". No staking pattern, and no timing of the buy, beats the house edge.
