How Joker's Jewels works
Joker's Jewels runs on five reels and three rows with five paylines: the three rows straight across, a V from the top corners down to the middle of the bottom row, and the same V upside down. All five are always in play: the bet menu in Pragmatic's official demo reads 'Betting on 5 lines' and has no setting for the number of lines.
Line wins are counted from the leftmost reel to the right, on adjacent reels. Only the highest win on each line is paid, and wins on different lines are added together. The crown marked Bonus works differently: it pays in any position, and its prize is calculated on the total stake rather than on the bet per line.
The demo's five rules pages describe no wild, no free spins, no multiplier and no bonus round, and nothing that carries over between spins. Every spin stands on its own, so any result can be checked against the paytable with a pen.
The paytable sits above the reels on a phone as well as on a computer, priced in cash for the stake you have selected. Change the bet and the amounts change with it; the multiples behind them do not.
What each symbol pays, as a multiple of your stake
The demo prices prizes in cash for the current bet. Divided by the total stake, they give these multiples: what one line pays against everything staked on the spin. At R1 a spin, 20x is R20 and 1,000x is R1,000.

Low volatility, and where the big prizes sit 📊
The rules screen in Pragmatic's demo rates Joker's Jewels as low volatility and prints the studio's own definition beside it: 'Low volatility games pay out more often in smaller amounts, while still having the chance to win big.' The paytable cannot show how often each prize lands, but it does show the sizes at both ends.
At the small end, the shoes and the three jewels pay 4x the stake for three on a line and no more than 40x for five, three lutes or three sets of juggling pins pay 10x, and two blue jewels pay 1x. With nothing that multiplies a win, a spin's result is simply its prizes added up.
At the top end, five jokers on a line pay 1,000x, five crowns anywhere pay 250x, and five lutes or five sets of juggling pins pay 200x. For the game as a whole, Pragmatic's own game page speaks of 'wins of up to 1,040x'. With no multiplier and no free spins round, nothing takes a spin past what the paytable adds up to.
Low volatility describes how results are spread, not how much of the stake the game keeps over time. It can make a budget feel longer; it does not make it grow, and no staking pattern gets around the house edge.
Three details worth knowing before you set a stake
- Two blue jewels only return the stake. The round blue jewel is the only symbol that pays for two on a line, and two pay exactly 1x the total stake. It counts as a winning line, but on its own it leaves your balance where it was before the spin.
- Turbo spin speeds up the spending. The demo offers quick spin and turbo spin; holding the spin button (or the space bar on a computer) switches to turbo. More spins a minute means more rand staked an hour at the same bet, and the house edge applies to every spin.
- The rand limits are the operator's. The demo's bet limits are in dollars. Each operator sets its own in rand; the operator rows at the bottom of this page show the minimum where we have it.
