Date, venue and kick-off

On 28 September 2026 the Premier Soccer League (PSL) wrote that it "has confirmed Moses Mabhida Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal as the venue for the 2026 MTN8 Final", and that the final "between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns will take place on Saturday, 10 October 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 18h00."

Tickets went on sale online on Friday, 2 October 2026. The same day the PSL announced that tickets for the final "are officially SOLD OUT" and that gates open at 14h00.

How the two finalists got there

The semi-finals were played over two legs; the final is a single match.

Orlando Pirates beat Sekhukhune United 3-0 in the second leg of their semi-final, 4-0 on aggregate. In the PSL's words, that left them "as little as 90 minutes away from a fifth successive MTN8 title".

Mamelodi Sundowns won their second leg 3-2 against Lamontville Golden Arrows at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi and went through on away goals.

Where to follow it

For anyone without a ticket, the PSL says the match "will be broadcast live on SuperSport PSL (Channel 202)". Results and match summaries appear on the PSL's own site, psl.co.za, on the MTN8 tournament page.

If you bet on the final, compare the bookmakers on our betting page, where each row shows where the bookmaker is licensed. Our odds converter turns the fractional odds some bookmakers show into decimals and the chance they imply.

Keep a cup final a game

The result of one match is never certain, whoever is favoured. Set your limit before kick-off, never bet money you need for anything else, and do not chase a loss in the live markets.

Betting is for adults 18 and over. If betting has stopped being fun, the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation helpline 0800 006 008 is free; our responsible gambling page has more ways to get help and to set limits.
